I've had enough !! - I've spent the last week listening to Collingwood supporters pat themeselves on the back about how fantastic they were last Saturday and how great their supporters are and how they saved the AFL this season by finishing
in the Grand Final (one idiot even wrote in the Herald Sun saying that Collingwood saved the AFL this year by drawing over 90,000 to the Grand Final - unless I'm mistaken I thought we get over 90,000 to the Grand Final every year !!).

Time to get serious !

Collingwood choked in the Grand Final like they have done for the last 40 years (with the exception of 1990 of course).

Mike Sheahan was right when he wrote that Brisbane were never more "gettable" than they were last Saturday - star players injured early, cold, wet conditions, younger fitter players, etc.

Yet even after hitting the front in the last quarter, Collingwood could still not beat them. I believe any one of the other top 5 sides (Port, Crows, Essendon) would have won that game giving the position Collingwood were in at three-quarter time but Collingwood managed to choke once again.

Rocca had a chance to make a name for himself with that shot in the last quarter and choked and missed ! Forget whether it was close or not - he should have nailed it through the middle like a true champion in Jonathan Brown did in time-on in the 3rd Quarter.

To summarise: - Collingwood - the Greg Normans of the AFL !! Go Lions !!

 Please take five minutes to Google some history and politics into your muddled brain. It might help you from making a complete fool of yourself in future.

No he didn't.

Either way it is irrelevant. We gave it our all, had conditions go our way and we were still beaten by the best team in the competition. So what?

I can still be proud of my team. I expect we will not relent next year in our endeavour for the flag.

GO PIES 2003!!!

Osmosis, sorry to inform you but we have already had about 5 posts of this nature since the big day. Can you think of something more original to talk about?

Loser

Yeah and your side is the Stuart Ginn of the AFL. Stuart who, exactly, just like your team who has no profile, no support and no hope of survival without the AFL.

Just think all you people who knock the Pies that all of the teams who lose money this year will receive funds from the Pies via equalisation. Do not bite the hand that feeds.

In case none of you get it, we finished second, cold hard statistical fact. Only team that can give it to us are Brisbane, the rest of you dreaming of 'if we were there', ha ha.

Essendon made the Grand Final last year....
We have still copped crap from Collingwood supporters and others all year........
Don't get me wrong I think Collingwood have done great.....
I just don't think they are above criticism as you suggest.....

We can still keep "giving" it to Collingwood as they haven't been good enough to beat us since 1998. :D

Go Cats!!

Make a finals series.

Good comeback

This year was Collingwood's first finals series since 1994.

Geelong played in finals in 95, 96, 97 & 2000.

To be fair at least Collingwood gave a good show in most grand finals, unlike Geelong who always get belted from pillar to post.

He's right though.

Even if a team that misses the finals beats a team that does make the finals by 100 points during the season, the team that made the finals still has bragging rights.
