So i gather everyone remembers back 2 seasons, last time we played the pies in a home game & the big deal about the AFL demanding North change to an away strip, eventhough it was a Roos home game.

Brayshaw at the time came out & said that we would never change for Collingwood again.

So what will happen in round 2?

Hey Drewey

It is official that we will wear our traditional home jumper and Collingwood will be wearing a variation on their strip. i think it is more white stripes than black so the black will be less dominant. it was done a few months ago, so already has been discussed in this forum.

It's the other way round.

Yeah im not sure why we never reversed our striped either, all though I dont see much difference so how it prevents a "clash" I dont know?

But yeah the blue/white V should be what it is.

Apparently we changed our clash strip.
There was a picture of Wellsy in a very light royal blue colour. Sort of a bold baby blue. Think back to when our blue was very bright and alot more noticeable than what it is today.
We've changed it, just not enough for my liking. I've seen the picture you're referring to, & I don't like it.

Its definitely an improvement. One which i can handle.
And i reckon leave it as it is till it turns stale and merch wants to make more sales by pumping out more gear.

Nothing, even with the Kangaroo

The Kangaroo ruined it. I like the shield kangaroo logo but mixing that with the classic V jumper was a mess. One idea or the other, don't throw the kitchen sink at it. Much like the nasty grey stripe kangaroo jumper from about 2002. Complete travesty. 2005 blue jumper with the white kangaroo outline was very good, albeit outdated by branding.

Royal blue with the white V seems to be the blindingly obvious solution, and yet we continue to ignore it. Is there something else at play? Have we been told we have to have a light-coloured alternative strip? If not then I can't work out why we continue with the horrendous Argy number.

It's pretty much universal these days to change the away strip every year (for the $). Baseball's the only team sport I can think of that doesn't, and even there the poor teams do.

I don't know what the you know what swear word I mean fuss is over the North/Pies jumper clash. FFS we've been playing them forever and it's only since the past few seasons that there's been a howdoyoudo over it. FFS back in the days of B&W TV I could tell the difference.

Sheesh!!
