The fixture isn't catered to who you recruited in the offseason but more how you performed the previous year, which is why Hawks will feature a lot in prime time.

Except when Ginnivan leaves the Pies to the Hawks and that becomes the feature match of Gather Round lol

Or Henry joining Geelong.

The AFL will milk whatever they can.

Round 11 v North

Another quirk in the fixture will see a Marvel Stadium double-header in round 11, coinciding with Sir Doug Nicholls Round.

Carlton will play Greater Western Sydney on the Saturday at 1.20pm AEST, before North Melbourne hosts Collingwood at the same venue at 7.35pm AEST later that evening.

Figured that was a likely possibility, to have Houston come straight out of his suspension ready to send his old club crashing back to earth.

I assume with the vast amount of time between the games it's not an actual double header with the ability to see both games. Because there will be no tickets available if that's the case.
