Added to the Mariners squad, good judge :thumbsu:

they are not stupid at afl tas. he'll get drafted & they will get the cash. bugger the club that brought him on & had the foresight to play him. they have done this before & they will continue to do it for as long as there is dollars in it for them. i know dobosz has only played for a couple of years but is'nt it their job to identify young talent, preferably prior to them playing senior football.

In AFL Tas' defence, they did offer him a training invitation at the start of Oct (or whenever they started), but knocked them back due to exams and 1st grade cricket.
This Bloke has some real talent as i seen first hand last week, is still very raw and will learn the game better when a 17 year old bobs up and kicks 6 in his 2nd senior game you know he is something special, especially when its against quality opposistion ;)

As long as North Hobart beat Hobart next week (which you would expect) looks like the final 5 is settled. Couple of really big results yesterday, with Burnie throwing a big spanner in the works by knocking off Launceston away and North pretty much sewing up their finals spot by beating Glenorchy.

Who do we reckon will be playing off come late september? Still hard to go past Launceston for one spot, but as Burnie showed yesterday, the other is wide open.

think you got the burnie result a little mixed up calvin, launy won 44pts and glenorchy won two or you just trying to stooge us i think haha

Would it be fair to say that there could be a big chance that the Colts Flag could be heading to West Park this year? I havent watch much Colts footy but id Burnie the only team to knock Launceston off?

Could be a very fair call, formerrobin. Seem to have all of their players back in the colts after a few struggles mid year, and beating Launy will give then huge belief.

Ther aren't the only team to knock them off though, North Hobart beat them earlier in the year, having a look at the roster now. Did have Julian Dobosz kick 10 in that game though, doubt they'll get him back.

Watch out for Lauderdale if their seniors dont go deep into finals, will get Walsh, siggins and co. back

the dockers are getting players back every week and it will only make both of the sides stronger it has been really well planned by the coaches to peak at the right time of the year well managed and a big pat on the back for every one at the dockers.

Colts competition has shown a lot of talent this season as it heads into the finals in the coming weeks. Launceston have been strong all year and will go in as favourites. Clarence will be a challenger, and will be good to see how they go up against lauderdale and north hobart in the next 2 weeks, will be a good test to see if they have what it takes. Burnie upsetting favourites launceston last weekend, but don't think they will go far as they have had a fairly easy fixture and playing the bottom sides more than the southern sides. Lauderdale have a tough game against clarence this week and is a must win game with north hobart sitting 2 points behind them on the ladder. Don't know if they have what it takes though? North Hobart has won its last 4 games and have heard they are getting back to full strength as they were at the beginning of the season, and should win this week against Hobart and a home game against the Roos will be tough heading into finals. Not sure if Glenorchy can make it now, a shame as they defeated Clarence and Lauderdale recently, and face Burnie in the coming weeks.

what players will be up there for the colts b and f this season?

Any thoughts on Gleeson from Clarence on this one? Another might be Tom Arnold from North Hobart.

Almost impossible to pick as probably need a player who has had 50-75% of games in Colts and a fringe player in the seniors.

Are there any restrictions for minimun/maximun games etc?

After watching alot of colts games this year, a future draft prospect who really shines is the dockers lachlan weller who is the younger brother of gc suns player mav weller. He is only 15 and has been named in the bests every game he has played and has been called up to the 1s a few times. He has got the legs, the strength, the smarts and some exceptional skills. Early call but will make draft no doubt!

Great news for Tassie football.

Obviously should get in the U/16 Mariners next year if what you say is correct.

Interested in size and type of player he is, and potential to improve to the levels above.
