I think Richmond were fantastic in the first half and deserve credit. They hit us with everything they had.

But they also had nothing left, a good side will work its way through four quarters. Richmond reminded me of another side circa 2013....

Spot on NN. It wasn't so much that North were bad, it was more that Richmond played awesome footy in the first half.

I was shaky at half time, but when we had 2 on the board within 3 minutes in the 3rd I knew we had them!!

I was as disappointed as everyone else in our first half, but was strangely calm and quietly confident at half time, as Elite Master said I didn't think we'd get all the way back in on quarter.

Rapt with the 2nd half though. I just hope that first half gets a thorough review. Had food poisoning more enjoyable than that.

Did something about it though within the game so its something to build on and reference later in the season.

Ironically, it was food poisoning that gave me the opportunity to take a break from travel and listen to the game, and that second half was a wonderful cure....excuse me as I run to the lavvy.....singing "Join in the Chorus......."

personally i don't think it's healthy to be all supportive and keep your emotions in check when you're getting your arse handed to you on a plate. surely we're not going to resort to golf claps and well played old boy commentary. i want to read emotion on here, good bad or indifferent, hence my spray on drew in another thread, a spray that was sent in the direction of an 8 goal breeze and came back at the rate of knots as egg and smacked me in the face

I didn't post because I had my son with me. That also kept me from the hop up bar - where I would otherwise have been hanging one on at half time while posting drunken, negative drivel about that first half. So it was only external factors that let me off the hook.

I suppose my point was the game wasn't over.

Had it continued in the same fashion I'd have been in it up to my neck. Just thought we were a chance.

Posted that at half time , I ain't going to miss an opportunity to stick the boots in.

Yeah, nah, no team gives this any more. It's not a valid justification for spitting the dummy. You're better off hoping we're in front at the end.

Not a personal attack - I thought we were absolutely dead in the water at half time. But I'm happy to put up with one down quarter a game if we win.

I was never off.

I tend to stay away from the forums during the game because alot of what people say is just emotionally driven.

Tonight I thought we were actually not too bad in the first half as funny as that sounds. Reality is Richmond came at us hard early, they were out to prove something, before we took it up a notch and they turned back into an absolutely deplorable football side.

I'll put my hand up - called them "disgraceful" and "shameful" at half time - looking at the faces of the faithful around me at the game I wasn't alone though - just more vocal. Can't roast doubters after that 2nd quarter and the context of our season.
Made the win even more delicious but for f***s sake North please no more lapses like that.
