Concussed Judd

Remember it's Carlton we're talking about. They couldn't care less about a players welfare!

Carlton only cares about Flags at any cost!

You saw that way they treated their last captain Lance Whitnall. Gave him the boot!!!!!!

Haha, says the guys whose team played (read: ended career of) Rocca on the weekend. Fail

so the player with a brain injury was allowed to make the decision

You really think no semi-concussed player has ever gone back onto the field in AFL, probably against medicos recommendation? lol.

Judd definately talked his way back on, could see him arguing with the docs on the boundary line in the 2nd or 3rd quarter.

Same thought, yet he got straight up.

lloyd has been great the last 2 wks but hes a big cat get a bloke to run straight at him and youll need 7 rolls of toilet paper to clean the mess he only bumps/hits blokes if they are over the footy or blind sided

Lloyd with blurred vision = 4 goals, match winning mark and goal at crucial stage of last quarter

Judd with blurred vision = pantsed by Andrew Welsh, embarrassed into making excuses.

Lloyd = 2 good wks enjoy them, good article by Hird in todays HWT, ok wife, is hard to listen to when speaking

Judd = best in game when going, match winner, leader, premiership captain, brownlow medal, amazin missus

i know who id prefer

Just on Welsh he has improved since takin on run with roles i thought he was finished

Did he have blurred vision or is he making excuses?

FFS
I think what rainman is getting at is that everyone went on about how Judd was in a bit of trouble after the bump and blaming that on his poor performance on Sunday while relatively little was said about Lloyd who also played out the match with blurred vision and was groggy yet still had a great game.

Well obviously they were effected differently. Judd clearly came off second best in the collision with Lloyd getting to his feet a lot sooner. Not to take anything away from Welsh who did a good job, but to claim that it (concussion) had no effect on his performance is just silly.

There's a chance he may miss this week . . . will we credit Welsh?

I'm sure most of you would have seen the clash between Chris Judd and Matthew Lloyd.

There is a chance that Judd might not be right for the game this week against Richmond. Plus he didn't train this week.

If this is the case, how come he was allowed back on the ground after the clash. I watched the game and was struggling.

What happened to the rule about concussed players not being allowed to play on??

Obviously, they failed to consult Dr Kennett!

If Judd passes the tests, the doctor would let him back on the field.

Just like Carrazzo.

Russell was elbowed by Croad in a game, yet he played out the rest of the game because he didn't show any effects and presumably passed the tests.

Yet he vomited after training the following week and couldn't find his car.

Is it that hard to understand?

Why are the AFL allowing Cox and Glass to play? ;)

These is no reason to have a crack at the WCE just because I started a thread about your team.

I'm not having a go at Judd or the Carlton Football Club.

My reason for posting was more about the rules and regulations of a player that is obviously feeling the effects of a huge bump but he was allowed to come back on and play out the rest of the game.

Imagine how good Lloyd would've played if he hadn't been concussed.

Moral of the story? Don't mess with the Velvet Sledgehammer.

They are saying on "League Teams" that he has a hairline fracture of the cheekbone.....if that is the case will he play? Still a champion no matter what.
