We have the kudos thread and the vent thread.

I would like to kick off something new, I call it the 'confessional'. Everyone is welcome to post their poor trades and or decisions for dream team in here. Hopefully for some this may bring some closure and a sense of forgiveness for some outright deluded decisions.

As of yet I have no confessions to make other than starting with Heath Shaw in my team and I feel a little less dirty now that I have traded him out.

Cox, Porps, Pendles, Swan and Danger certainly aren't terrible picks... You have a twisted take on failed picks.

I will give you that Pendles early down tick is frustrating but I doubt it impacts him much and other midfield picks have had or will get their low games as well.

Cox hasn't busted out 120's but comapred to other ruck picks he isn't terrible.

Porps has increased his value. 'nuff said.

Swan is fine.

Danger has played to his value.

Golby is spudding it up so I trade him out for Hargrave after Rd 2, who was doing well. I also jump on the Greene bandwagon by trading out the slow-starting Shiel.

They look like two wasted trades. Sigh.

Cox is now 475k and has a BE of 180 and another high BE for the following week. He has scored 67 against GWS and 81 against Roughead. Hes then played the almighty dees with 106 and the almighty side of the dogs with 107.

Ill happily trade him in when he gets very close to 400k and Giles starts to put in consecutive poor scores.

Swan you paid 123 for so far he is avg 116. Compare that to Mitchell, Murphy, Ablett, Stanton, Watson and Boyd? Same goes with Pendles paid 117 for him avg 110 or something after today.

Dangerfield and porpz have so far played wbd (yet to win), GWS (yet to win), GC (yet to win), hawks and they have an amazing avgs of 81 (not a keeper) and Porpz (67) again not a keeper.

If you want to make money pick a rookie.

Ill give Swan one more week against Essendon to see how he goes and based on that consider trading him pending on Ablett ect.

omg...

You just don't get it do you KA?

Is my team that important that you need to pick it apart?

FWIW I never started with Danger and Porps thinking that they were keepers. Porps was always going to be upgraded and Danger was to become the swing man as an M7/F8.

I already have Ablett and Boyd so making comparisons between Swan and these two is a moot point.

You strain out a gnat while swallowing a camel.

Back to the thread KA and I think you have something to confess and it concerns a certain Hawthorn player...

Your posting is just about as embarrassing as your Dreamteam knowledge.

Starting with Coniglio, Wingard and 2 rookies who were not playing.

Putting in Dempsey last week. Choosing Scott Thompson over Ablett. Trading in Stanley this week.

This year I went for the money in the bank approach. I was going to do my upgrades last week but Fyfe ****ed me over. And now Carrazzo ****ed me over so I'm going to have to wait another week and waste more trades.

The only thing ill confess im honest opinion is picking a player not selected for round 1
(couch) over a player selected for round 1 (Hall). Thats the only pick i regret so far, hasnt cost me any points just a little money and maybe a trade pending on what i do with trades.

I confess to not doing enough research on Enright... he was a last minute chicken out of hargrave/waters to Enright/Rookie but I should have known his high scores came unique situations. We'll have to see if he stays good enough to be a keeper, but i'd much rather have the hargrave/waters option right now.

My starting bench rookies were Ellis (38), Morris (27), Shiel (36), MacDonald (suspended), Hampton (77), Wilson (yes Wilson) and the rucks.

I only went with Wilson as a late minute selection because he was named and I didn't expect much and planned to trade him if it didn't work out. So anyway after round 1 I offload him for Kennedy.

Round 2 Hampton stinks it up and I panic. Thinking I need quick money into my team I reluctantly trade Shiel for Greene. I just had this horrible feeling the second I made that trade that I was going to regret it.

Those are my two dumb mistakes. Burnt two trades for no gain.

I accidentally traded in Barlow 2 weeks too early and paid 25k more than people who traded him in this week. A solid 99 last week was serviceable and his sub affected 73 would have outscored my M6 in Rd2 but still lost 25k by forgetting that I couldn't reverse a trade after a partial lockout in Rd2. He scored a nice 109 this week and I saved my Fyfe trade so not unhappy with the trade, just the poor timing.

In SC though I think I have you all trumphed with these 2 trades of epic FAIL proportions!:eek:

Broughton>Dempsey
Dempsey>Carrazzo

FMSCL :(

Beau Wilkes warming my bench for the past four rounds  every year I do this, last year it was Guthrie and the year before Relton although at least they got one game in?

Not sure why you picked Wilkes as he was never going to be in our best 22, will only play if there is injuries or we rest players.

Biggest regret at the moment is trading Fyfe for Whitecross but that trade still might work out alright in the long term. Only time will tell.

Picking Lake instead of Hargrave :(
yeah i had Hargrave in my team for a couple of months but got spooked looking at finalsiren.com and seeing Lake comfortably average more than hargrave over several years.

My other confession is going with Jack Redden over Rockliff as a point of difference - great unique choice that was. Did the same thing last year with A.Swallow. Never again will i make the mistake of going for a unique top price pick.
