You might get a job at Carlton as recruiting officer I doubt you would any where else though, Jack is 25, Jay is 29, Jack has over 100 goals more in 3 years less football, averaging nearly a goal a game better than Jay and should have a few more years left in him after Jay will have retired.o_O

Jay is a good solid player with a great set shot at goal that finally managed a full season last year for the first time in his career and is now getting the best service of his life, but Jack is still without doubt the better full forward.

It would be great if we could have kept Jay but it's easy to see why we let him go, not many clubs can keep two gun full forwards on their list these days, overall it was a win win situation for Jay, Port and Richmond.

You must be forgetting that in his time at the tigers he was being used as a defender right?

lolz. And to think the only thing Richmond got in return was a drug addicted scumbag that dragged Dustin Martin down into a life of popping pills and snorting lines at Tramp. Oh, and a crap draft pick which they used on some blonde-dreadlocked hippy reggae Bob Marley-wannabe that got delisted two years later.

Another drafting/trading failure for the history books at Richmond. Laughable club.

how come hes only upto 150 games at age 29? how long did he stay on richmonds list not getting a game, or was he always injured. pretty good pickup tho.
He's had some injuries at Port, but 79 games in 4 1/2 seasons is a good effort.

If I remember correctly he was in and out of the Richmond lineup a lot, 71 games there in 7 seasons.

i remember starting a thread "has Jay Schultz already been de-Richmondized?" in about his 2nd or 3rd game at Port.

Flies under the radar as a key forward, seriously good player. No wonder Marto_ is blowing his load all over the keyboard

Ahhh Richmond the kings of fail. Was this still in the Terry Wallet days???
Nah Wallet was gone midway through '09, this one's squarely on Dimma. Very generous of him!

Not that it matters, Port seem to have an uncanny knack of bending Richmond over at the trade table no matter who their coach is :thumbsu:

24 goals from 28 shots - an 86% accuracy rate: says it all really. But yeah: there's a long way to go.
get real! youve played 2 decent teams, Adelaide and Geelong. goals from handballs 2 feet out shouldnt count. You have never had a quality forward like Modra so you puff up Richmond reserve players instead.

FTFY.
The Angus burns deep in this one, nice meltdown. How's J-Plod working out for you?

Not a bad effort for 1 player to come within a goal of matching the opposition's score on his own. The Adelaide defence must already be having nightmares about next Sunday.
