Phenomenally shit that is.- Naitanui looks phenomenal.
Kicking it to one teammate in the space of 9 games is probably a record in the history of the VFL/AFL.

Phenomenally shit that is.- Naitanui looks phenomenal.
The farce continues.
Melbourne Demon posters continue to troll the Eagles and Lions. Why ?
- Rich has been a machine.
- Naitanui looks phenomenal.
- whilst Watts has shown nothing.
.
So you're trolling a school kid because Naitanui was trolled first ?
Lame
At least the trolling of Potaita had truth to it.

West Coast fans still seem to be living off the Naitanui hype from under 18s LOL.
I wonder if even they have seen him play at AFL level?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Never thought Id hear of a player averaging 1.7 kicks and 1 mark per game as 'phenomenal'.

OK Grandflogger_B, I have been in touch with the administrators of the highly regarded Australian horse racing and sports punting website, www.puntingace.com.au.
They have stated that they will act as third party and arbitrator for our bet of $10,000 on who finishes higher in 2010, the Brisbane Lions - with our fantastic list of kids who we've actually recruited and are actually playing - or Melbourne, with the imaginary oompa loompas.
You say the word and I am in. I have the money ready to go. Are you in?
superstar?I'm only talking about this years spoon. But Watts is a great example of a superstar reward for a poor season.
It's great to get the best two picks in the country, especially since we are obviously better than 4 other sides (Richmond, West Coast, Fremantle, North).
When in January 2011 Jack Watts becomes the manager of the Brighton McDonalds, will Melbourne fans be declaring him the best McDonalds manager ever appointed?
As Thomas said on FC last night, the wooden spoon is now the second biggest prize in football behind the premiership.
I can't believe I have been so rude as to not congratulate the Melbourne FC. I can't believe it. I guess with all the other events of Round 21 it just slipped my mind.
So, excuse my rudeness and let me immediately be the first one to congratulate you, the Melbourne football club, on your 12th wooden spoon, and your 2nd in a row now.
Well done, you now have as MANY spoons as you do premierships, though it has been 45 years now since you've actually won a flag. In fact, you've earned the honour of wooden spoon (ie, worst team in the AFL) on 6 occasions since your last premiership.
Therefore, in the last 45 years (nearly half a century... fair bit of time to show your true colours), your achievements are -
Premierships: 0
Wooden Spoons: 6
Again, congratulations Dees. Going great.
And look what those top picks have got you so far , spoon after spoon after spoon. And the worst number 1 pick in draft history. Lets hope Melgorne can screw up 2 more kids futures in 2010.
If we were allowed to have extra money in our salary cap like Brisbane are, we probably wouldnt have finished last
Grant Thomas... LOL. Is that the only job he's never been fired from? We all know about Grant Thomas' wonderful decision making:
Oh, right, so if you'd paid Andrew McDonald 10% more he'd have miraculously become not a shit player?
Duritz - Thank you for this thread. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.
Some people might say that Bay 13 is becoming a Flypaper for any old mediocrity who can quote some 101-obvious statistics and then add some laboured invective - I do not share this perspective.
The fact that no one understands you, Duritz, doesn't mean you're an artist in your own way.
You have my full support.
Biffinator
By the way with the quality tall forwards West Coast have he would probably be the best key forward you guys have
Lets see.. Watts.. unproven.. squibs contests.. wouldn't know a hard ball get if it bitch slapped him.. shown nothing to date at AFL level.. struggled in his last VFL game before getting injured (sore pinky).. has legends of the game in Matthews and Sheedy claiming he is nothing special and doesn't warrant the number one pick..
Our talls..
Kennedy.. averaging 13 touches, 7 marks, 2 tackles and 2 goals this season.. excellent kick and mark.. has even flogs like Walls and Shaw who hate the Eagles creaming themselves over him.
M.Brown.. rising star nomination prior to getting injured.. 15 touches, 5 marks and 2 tackles per game.. can play forward and defence.. can play tall or small
McKinley.. 11 disposals, 4 marks and 2 goals per game.. quiet year compared to last year but has the talent
Notte.. project player who will dominate in a couple of years
And then the wild card..
Callum Wilson.. beating Watts in kicks, handballs, total disposals, marks, tackles and goals per game.
A couple of things, Flog.
Matthews never said that he wasn't worthy of pick 1. He said I've watched him for 5 minutes and am yet to see why he was chosen at pick 1. There's a difference, but I'll understand if the subtleties escape you.
Sheedy has taken pot shots at Melbourne and Garry Lyon all year because he was humiliated at missing out on the coaching position after going through the 'process'. Senile old drunk.
On to Kennedy - 3, 11, 7, 1, 6, 5, 6 - they were his disposals in his first 7 games. He kicked a total of 2 goals and averaged 5.5 disposals. He was the same height as Watts, but importantly 6 months older. Key position players take time flog, especially ones still at school with no preseason.
You're happy to call Notte a "project player", but get wood at the prospect of trolling Watts for not dominating the competition in his first year. Very flogworthy.
Btw, when is the Potaita going to get a RS nomination considering all those games his 1.7 kicks and 1 mark have won you ?
I reckon he'll get one this round or the next out of sympathy.
You're right, I'm a troll and don't disagree with anything you just said. I'm now going to compare 21 year old Callum Wilson with Watts even though I know he won't be able to tie his bootlace in 2 years
