One factor would be the myriad of symptoms that have been attributed to Covid.

I'm anxious, should I get tested seeing it's a symptom?

It's interesting you got phone calls about it. Recently, at my local footy l had a look around and it was real different compared to previous years. It was a great day, the sun was shining cars everywhere around the field but hardly anybody was getting out of them. No movement.

I go to my grandchildren's sport up here in Brisbane every weekend and there are people all over the place maskless and mingling without any fear.

However I still see the odd person at Coles and out and about with a mask on.

Thank goodness Macca's is teaming up with the white during a health crisis, I have a feeling the covid death count would be a lot higher if wasn't for fast food remaining essential to our health the past 15 months, It's a good thing so many experts have deemed McDonalds essential to help us stay strong & healthy during this pandemic.

I wonder if they'll give out a free Big Mac and Fries when you show your vaccine papers, it would go nicely with the free donuts.

Maybe they should also be handing out referrals to Cardiologists.... and these stickers >

I'm extremely irritable which is also a symptom, clearly I have long covid.

Given the amount of confusion some posters here have about there want or dislike of vaccinations, id recommend hourly covid tests with that level of delusion

Essentially if I was them id just get chapless pants so the swab can get easy access

Same here pretty much. Still the odd person wearing a mask all the time though. One guy I know still wears one all the time when out. He's obese, has diabetes (almost lost his foot because of it) and has had two doses of the vax and still continues to wear a mask when we hadn't had any community cases here for months. I despair for the human race.

That's it! I'm boycotting Maccas... well I would except I haven't eaten their junk for about 20 years :tearsofjoy:

It was the start of western civilisations decline... when we started having to tell people that eating healthily and exercising was good for you and you couldn't just sit on the couch and stuff your face with doritos.

Everytime I need a life saving medical advice from a person, the first thing I look up and research is to see if there best friends are raging pedophiles. If they are then that way I know we can trust them with the direction of global health systems in the world

I don’t mind people wearing masks as long as it’s their decision, not some senseless mandate.

This time last year in Victoria, we were going in to lockdowns and in to a savage winter. Or I thought it was. There might be a bit of a lockdown hangover going on here but I don't know for sure. The crowd behaviour was just different.

I know people in India that have lost family members and speaking to them they keep saying we are doing the right thing. It would not take much for this variant to get hold and put 100,000 in hospital. We don't have the facilities to cover such a contingency.
If 4 out of every 100 need hospital treatment your saying half our population would have covid 19 easily.

Ok.

For you. What about the concept of herd immunity though? Is it actually achievable if we want to ask people to risk life and death to achieve it?

As I suggested in an earlier post, herd immunity factored in to my considerations as a benefit of getting the vaccine. We'll probably eventually reach herd immunity which is what stopped the Spanish Flu but we'll get it quicker and with less casualties which equals freedom, if at least 60% of us get the shot. Apparently.

60% since when? We are injecting 12 year olds according to PFizer. If 60% was the answer why would you inject a 12 year old? They are aiming for high 90s for sure. Would be nice if it was 60% for sure
