It's not even funny anymore. In a way just sad we've been reduced to this.
In many ways we carry on about humanity but we are the dumbest creatures on the planet.
To go full conspiracy humans may only have 500 years left. It's like the Renaissance, enlightenment or struggles for world peace and human rights never happened.
 
If anything Covid is good news. It is a pandemic running so riot in Australia, Canada, UK, Sweden, US (were tracking in November) it has resulted in a reduced death rate and numbers in 2020 than 2019. Also if it does bump you off odds are you would've lived past life expectancy.

What's everyone doing today anyway? I had a sleep in and went for a walk to get coffee. Flicked the tennis on. Doesn't really work without a crowd. Needs the silence than reaction. only sport would be cricket or golf. Otherwise you may as well watch local. Another genius move by the government. Spend all this money on a tennis tournament that no one can go to to promote a city no one can and will want to visit again. Digs us further in a hole.

Look Andrews cops it (rightfully) but he is just one man.
If he was just the one Covid Nut and people woke up ALP would shove him out the door quicker than you could say case number.

People have been manipulated by all this and he has broad support. Change leaders (I hope so) but you'd get more of the same. Even the Opposition just crap on about mistakes but don't argue a different approach.

What's actually scary is how easy a whole religion can be created if you have enough money and control of communication channels.
 
New changes have been introduced to slow the spread of COVID-19 by reducing the number of people leaving their homes and moving around Victoria.

Orr really is that so

This means that you cannot leave your home unless you are doing it for one of the following four reasons: shopping for necessary goods and services; care and caregiving; exercise; and essential work.

Already been out twice for reasons not on that list and that was after i went on my morning walk, why, because i can and did.

Face masks will need to be worn indoors and outdoors whenever you leave your home.

Nope not me and from what i have seen in my area no one else is either bar a few plus i have seen multiple groups meeting up either at the beach or the parks and no masks are on, looks to me like people are saying **** YOU.


Can't wait to see the beaches from monday onwards when the heat rocks on into town for a week or so, going to stroll down myself and dip the toes in.

Oh absolutely, i'm predicting the media will run their worn out St Kilda beach story again when thousands flock there in 30 degree weather.

Pretty much this will be the dramatic headline or something similar.

People are angry the tennis was allowed to go on FFS. Instead of being angry at an incompetent government overreacting to "cases", they are angry at life trying to resume. These people are ****heads

Yes, it's easy to blame Andrews (and he deserves it) but the whole world is behaving in the same stupid way to a more or lesser extent, as we know many people in other countries are tearing their hair out too at what their politicians are doing. It's hard to know what exactly is going on but it's a world wide agenda for sure.

whilst I agree with you rebelling, it’s the shutdowns that worry me more. I can’t have a business shut down or threatened by fines for prolonged periods. Wearing masks etc...couldn’t give a f*** about.

But the rest of the world have hundreds of thousands of positive tests, based on what the WHO are now saying is inflated replication cycles of the PCR test they called cases, thousands of people dying and a media that are complicit in generating a fear narrative.

I doubt the politicians or media have been talking about the many misclassifications from other cases to COVID - 19 and when looking at overall deaths there isn't any difference between last years deaths and a normal year for all countries.

Then everyone was told the lie that there are no safe and effective therapeutics and vaccines, that are in scarce supply, are the only solution. It's easy to get caught up overseas in this fear in the middle of a cold, wet, depressing winter.

We don't have any of that, so shame on us if we get caught up and submitting to the fear narrative for no reason.

Went past a worksite this morning, what lockdown as it looked like it was all hands on deck yet a corner store gets punished. It's why people need to start pushing back in regards to the tests, reject it and when they ask why you are, say that it's because if i test positive then Andrews will shut people down and i don't want to be responsible for someone losing their business as a result, people need to push back.

This is what happens as a result of pandering and allowing our institutions to be run by lefty woke ideology and ideals that then creep into our society without anyone fighting back! Don't get me wrong I'm all for progressiveness but we (the west) have allowed it to get to far out of hand to the point now there is no debates on the matter anymore and this is the result and the world we get! Can you imagine any of this shit happening 30 years ago? especially in the USA? We've gone so deep down this Marxists/woke path that people are now afraid to fight back because when they do they are prosecuted and banished as conspiracy theorist or labelled racists or bigots. Trump for all his faults was the only world leader trying to fight against it that's why he was hated so much, but in the end he couldn't do it alone! This pandemic is all a culmination that's lead to this point being what it is. These politicians may not all be woke but they're taking advice from these woke institutions. Boris Johnson in the UK is a perfect example he has done a complete 180 since the beginning of the pandemic pressured and threaten into complying. We have all been sucked in! some of us are part of it and like it, Other don't even realise its happening some are in denial and don't want to realise its happening and still trust their government and think life will go back to normal soon. Most of us know whats going on like most of us on this board but can't do anything about it. The sad reality is we are doomed to adapted to this way of life! Unless we find a group of world leaders like Trump that won't take this crap anymore.

Just turned on the cricket and what do i see, people in the stands at the India v England match and yet here we are in Victoria banning crowds at the tennis and AFLW because of a handful of people, this is what happens when you employ a 0 infection policy and hit the panic button everytime someone gets sick.

Yep it's not called culture wars and a battle of hearts and minds for nothing.
Fact is majority on this board have lost the argument. Not about covid (no one cares) really but to protect liberties and privacy.
Put another way if the government said we are confiscating homes to pay for the cure how many would think it seriously.
Trump was the wrong type of personality. He blustered in but had no nuance so was easy to pick apart. Couldn't articulate his case.
What you need is someone direct argues their own principles and stands up to this via concise argument.
Only opposition here that hasn't fitted the narrative but argued a different approach are Hanson or Alan Jones but they're too unpopular with past actions to lead the case.
