I can't believe big pharma engineered a vaccine with such a severe drop off in effectiveness that it requires countries to perpetually buy booster doeses. Hard to believe.

For new vaccines, I can. Would they really want to trigger the same kind of immune response one might get with a severe natural infection? I'm just hoping by the time my turn to cross paths with covid comes, whatever vaccine antibodies I have are enough to either deflect or take the edge off it.

Someone in my bubble was just notified to test and isolate.

and some very healthy ones who thought that died and others who werent didnt ...its a lottery
Pretty sure that's what the TikTok guy said.
Maybe so, but doesn't change the fact that the vast majority don't get sick from it. I'm not shitting my pants over it because of some media driven fear pr0n and a premier fighting for his political career.

I don't think anybody should be shitting their pants over it, it's just unwise imo to play games with it and get too cocky because they have youth and good health on their side when we keep seeing time and again, it can take them down as well.

Lol those are your people why be so mean?
Besides the idea that this is just a bunch of people that don't want to work is normally reserved for left leaning rallies.

Lots of high vis in that crowd
The question most medical experts are probably too scared to ask in public.

As long as you don't class Norman Swan as a medical expert.
Hasn't practiced for decades, reports on this stuff, is happy to be thought of as an expert but never specialised any any field that would be relevant to the pandemic

Yeah it's pretty clear people shitting their pants took the horse paste

I do wonder how much of the protestors behaviour is a direct response to the cops show of force.

It’s not an excuse or justification but if you just let em cruise down flinders would it have been this extreme?

Agreed, the protests are stupid and counter-productive, but some of the footage looks like 'kettling' from the Police, blocking both ends of the protest. Given the past experience with the type of hardcore crowd involved, it meant that a conflict was almost an inevitability. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kettling

Of course there are vaccine (Pfizer) delays. You'd have to be pretty stupid to not see that coming with the swap deals being done.

States making Pfizer available to elderly people should forego there next order.

Twins Lachlan and Hamish, 12, Campbell Case from New Farm got a vaccine for their birthday.

Hope they got something nice too

Sure there some professional protesters there (usually associated with the "left"). That being said they're standing shoulder to shoulder with anti communists (not left). So it's a coming together of opposites in a way.

One'd think in sydney similar slogans or key words are being applied (communists), but the governing party are the Liberal party. So it's rather confusing.

More expert than you and me though.
My issue is he is wheeled out as an expert when he's just an ABC journalist that knows a bit more about medicine than the average journo
He's been given a big platform to push his views and called an expert by his employer, it's the kind of shit I get pissed off at commercial news for doing.

He's not an expert in vaccines or viruses or pandemic responses and he's not currently practicing which means there is no requirement for him to keep up with his training.

His voice shouldn't be given more weight by the public than actual experts in the relevant fields

Italy is to make it compulsory for all workers to have a Covid "green pass" - proof of vaccination, a negative test or recovery from the virus.
The measures are a first for Europe and some of the strictest in the world.
Anyone without a pass will reportedly face suspension from work and may have their pay stopped after five days.

Exactly, just let them do their thing and give them no coverage and that's the end of it.

Pisses me off their are photographers everywhere.....that's not essential work, **** off home.
