If you and your rl mates are gonna be trolls it would pay to know what fcuk you're talking about, simpleton.

To even equate Plugger with Silly Mason is heresy. And from (an alleged) Saints fan? Simpleton.

Wrong....

I'm an AFL man first, rugby league second.

But i still would rekon mason would be a gun at full foward.

This ball handling skills (how many times during a year would Mason make a mistake in RL) and this diffrent era we are all of a sudden living in are dud arguments.

I made no link to ball-handling and eras.

Throwing a ball backwards and handballing, marking, bouncing, tapping-on, hit-outs of the Sherrin are completely different sets of skills.

Ok....

If Mason played AFL since 16, then he would dominate AFL.

Subjective.

But that's not the original argument. The argument is: Could current rl players make the transition to the AFL?

Easily

Any Rugby League player would excel at AFL. Gary Jack's son played AFL because League was too tough for him.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA:D

Meatheads playing Aussie Rules?

They wouldn't understand the game:eek:

RL Players=Homers!:p

You people think that you need brains to play AFL:eek: , give me a break:rolleyes: I have never seen a set play of any sort other than some basic tap down from a ruck man which is so basic and really a 50/50 play. Not to mention any thought is required to get through the defence. It's like comparing touch footy to tackle, boys to men.

You missed a step.

Give me ball, now tackle me, now everybody run 10 metres away from me and let me get up.

Silly game.

At least Rugby Union rewards momentum and flowing play. League is just mindless.

Now girls gather round I'll kick it to you and then you kick it to me you
ditto
ditto
ditto
etc
etc
etc

Oh an AFL fairy called RL players meatheads:eek:

Well the meathead game actually takes more brains to play the kick and catch.:thumbsu:

Man it dont matter if we name 3 or 100 you guys can come back and say another 3 or 1000 spectacular moments...

Apples and oranges league and AFL...

Why dont all you Meatheads go to your Meathead forum and stick to your meathead game there and us AFL boys can discuss AFL here.

Simple.

Now P155 off!:thumbsu:

Too easy:

1) Darren Albert scores in last second of GF to win it for Newcastle.
2) Ricky Stuart runs length of Old Trafford in injury time before passing inside to Mal Meninga to keep the series alive against the British.
3) QLD sweep the length of the field in 15 man passing movement to win SOO after trailing by 10 with 5 minutes to go.

Now can you guys come up with 3 set plays, just 3......I get the feeling it's a little too hard for you guys;)

In the context of those games they may have been impressive, but as displays of athletic prowess and sheer skill, they pale in comparison to the events I listed.

BORING MENS NETBALL!

You Mr Thugby head may get excited by grown men throwing a ball around for 80 minutes whilst they gang tackle eachother , but Aussie RULES!

Your opinion. The events I mentioned are athletic and skilfill you goose.

Now how about those 3 things I mentioned... I'm starting to think you can't. Yes takes alot of brains to play AFL:rolleyes:

Wombats.

a) why has no rugby league player in the history of the NSWRL/SuperLeague/NRL successfully switched codes to play in the VFL/AFL ?

He may be pathetic, but LRT converted from some Rugby code at a late age. Plus there are a few Irish guys who have made the transition also.

And boy did this topic fall off with the level of stupidity.
