With a tough four games coming up and half their defence missing through injury, could the Pies still miss out given that they play some of the best sides in the competition.

If you look at the draw most pundits are saying that at least 12 1/2 wins will be needed to get into the 8. Can they miss out?

Their midfield has the quality but with their defence stretched can they cover for them against the better sides.

They definitely could if they lose all four games, which is obviously a possibility. I doubt that will happen though. What also has to happen is for your mob to win 2 of their last 4, which will probably mean winning the derby in the last round.

If its true that you will need 12 1/2 wins to get in then Fremantle is far from safe also.

2 Away games which they would be expected to lose. Means they will have to beat West Coast.

They could quite conceivable go 1-3 for their last 4, which leaves an opening for the Kangaroos.

Collingwood is probably assured of a top 8 spot, but where in the eight is the uncertainty.

Any team with a draw as easy the pie's, is pretty much destined to make the 8.

We're not playing Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Essendon in the last four rounds? Damned easy draw that.

And where exactly are you playing all those interstate sides? In Melbourne.
You're also the only team not to travel to perth this season. Many other teams have twice.

Ahhhh, another sheep joins the flock in time for September. Welcome zero42 (you're being harsh on yourself, you could of called yourself one45 instead :D).
Yeah, let's pick out just 4 games from a full season of footy and call it a hard draw. You wobblers even have yourselves fooled:D
Enjoy your trips to Perth? Enjoy playing last year's bottom 4 teams Carlton & Richmond twice? Enjoy playing last years minor Premiers Port Adelaide once? You made the GF and you got the softest draw in the league. Richmond finished bottom 4 and got one of the hardest.

I understand you follow a less0r team and too ashamed to put that team on your profile....fair enough....but Richmond???...they went MIA over 20 years ago and have not been sighted since...why even bother to mention their name?

In future I would prefer you to continue to only post about your jealousy of the Magpie Army and leave the little ones alone...carry on Britney.

PS....I hope you are a girl because Britney Spears as a nickname is not that cool if you are a guy (not that there is anything wrong with that). :)

I just don't buy this repetitive whinge people have about Collingwood not going to Perth. Sure it's been good luck for them especially this year, because based on other Victorian teams performances, two games in Perth equate to 4 losses. But the draw is inequitable, and will always be until we get to a 14 team comp.

Who knows, maybe they'll go to Perth in the finals?

Sydney's in Sydney. It's the AFL's problem really, not ours. We play all of the struggling opposition sides as away games because our superior attendances generate revenue for those teams, thus reducing the amount of handouts the AFL has to give them. Smart, really.

Wouldn't mind playing Port more than once, although I can't remember the last time we've played them in Melbourne? Was about 2000 as I recall..
The Adelaide trip, for most teams, is a difficult team and we consistently go there twice a year. Went to Perth twice last year, and I do agree that a Perth trip should've been scheduled this year. I think Brisbane's the harder team to play than those Perth sides anyway, and Richmond play them once this season.

collingwood went to perth twice last year. ohh no, just because freo and the eagles are good this year.. boo hoo.... didnt collingwood go to s.a twice this year, to brisbane and also to sydney soon. just because ****ty teams like tigers, melb etc cant win there.. who by the way are down the bottom than... CRY SOME MORE YOU FARKING SOOKS. id like to think an extra $700,000 is more of an advantage TRUE??????? freo wont make the finals. essendon will finish 6th.

One, two, Eddie's coming for you
Three, Four, Pies will go top 4
Five, Six, Kelli likes dicks
Seven, Eight, Gonna stay up late
Nine, Ten, Never sleep again

Ok, it's late and that was lame, but maybe the nightmare is beginning. Anything would be better than a 3-peat though.

Pies were an outside chance to finish first if Port had have lost last weekend. I think they will beat the Lions and Crows.

Collingwood people are Sheep eh, and you call yourself Britney Spears. The real Britney Spears was a no body too. She came in made a lot of noise and disappeared never to be heard of again.

Yeah but didn't she look aaight with barely a thread on?

Why can't you pie fans just admit you have a p¡ss easy draw? Had you travelled to perth once, you'd be sitting around 7th
on the ladder. Had you come here twice, who knows where in the bottom 8 you'd be.
