Honestly yeah

I can’t get interested in this season

If course I hope Hawthorn win every time they run out, but there is no pre-game excitement at all, or post-game celebrations from me

Its all a bit meh

I feel a bit the same way though the win against Richmond did get me up and about. The lack of excitement in the coverage doesn't help

Personally can’t really give two shits if the season is cancelled. It’s a fraud of a season as it currently stands anyway.
How do you feel about 2021 and 2022, possibly 2023 then? Maybe longer....

I hate to tell you all this but that is the reality. This is not just a blip that will be over by years end.

I mean I will enjoy it if we win I'm just not that excited about footy right now.

I get that but if the AFL don't try and play through the pandemic then might be a few years without the sport
I get that, everyone is trying to work out how to keep going through this.

While Gil was saying he showed no symptoms, they played footage of him coughing and spluttering all over the place 🙄
No more then probably any other player during a session to be fair.

Exactly COVID-19 isn't going anywhere, so sport needs to learn to co-exist with it or basically it's doomed.

I’m a little confused around these “tougher than other sanctions” that have been placed on footballers

what are these tough times they are experiencing (referencing Vic teams)
They can't have their mates over

While we can all have a laugh about it being the Bombers right now this could spiral very quickly.

What happens if they can't play for 2+ weeks?

What happens when someone at another club gets it. How long can they keep postponing games for before they call it off again.
Just eliminate them for the season and play a bye instead.

Ess* fcuk up another season.

So they play their VFL side. Surely not?!!

I mean if it's only 8 of them then sure they have enough on the list the field a team. Make them

Well they could change the fixture swapping with Carlton v St Kilda

Or you just say bad luck why didn't he get a friend to go to the inspection for him and tell him about it? Need some incentive to avoid getting the virus

Be interesting if this scenario happens during the finals (if we get that far in 2020)

They really do need to just call time on the season

Essendon are done
Eagles and Freo are annoyed at being in the hub without anything thing solid in place

it’s cooked

That's their whole fwd line. May as well forfeit.
**** them. Adelaide should have had half their side out for round one.

Players might take the rules more seriously if they start consting their club points.

Unfair for the teams that don't break the rules of they make allowances for the ones that do.

Simpson looks a broken man. They're not handling this well up there at all.
Funny given how dismissive some Eagles players were of others not wanting to be part of a hub

Four weeks ago my committee was ready to do just that, seven out of nine spoke passionately about protecting the club financially by putting everything into mothballs, but we surveyed our players and members and had a 75% return to push on. Two clubs pulled out and that is fine too.

Four weeks on and better education, we feel we have followed the right path. Yes, we will only have half a season and streamlined finals, but the procedures, processes and reinvention of our financial models that we establish this season will stand us in great stead for however long this exists.

The AFL is the same, packing up this year is not going to help anyone going forward so they must find a way. Footballers need to man up, take the threat seriously and stop being a bunch of ****ing sooks.
