Well QLD and WA have received less vaccines but I think that the messaging in QLD in particular has been horrific. Messaging in WA has been mostly fine but just complacency which is a problem but it is one that can be solved.
how is complacency a problem when we are using every single vaccine that is being offered us?

Its almost like there is a media driven misinformation campaign stating that vaccine hesitancy is the reason behind low vaccine rates rather than the utter incompetence of the government that failed to get enough vaccines.

The graphs you posted showed WA certainly wasn't using every vaccine. Looks like in the worst week in July we wasted nearly 30%! The data scales are not very clear but it implies we did hit 100% for one or two weeks at the end of the graph, but we sure as hell wasted a lot in the preceding weeks.

The graph includes the wastage so how do you separate that from that used?

we are in a unique position with pfitzer having to be used once opened and defrosted within 24 hours (iirc) with our vast distances snd low population.

I migh have misinterpreted the graph, I thought it was the amount used vs available (ie anything less than 100% is wastage)

Not exactly pouring one out for Gladys who did an absolutely abysmal job, but it’s pretty ****ed that you’re more likely to lose your job for screwing someone than for screwing your entire state’s Covid plan.

Fixed. And yes she should've fallen on her sword regarding the Covid stuff long before this fresh information surfaced, which has been circling her for 12 months.

Politics is messed up when you can be either incompetent or corrupt and get away with it, but you only get in trouble when you're finally exposed as both.

Such an abysmal job that she is still hugely popular and her state in a month will be that far ahead of any state in Australia in terms of living a normal life and being able to travel. At some point other knuckle dragging premiers will have to join her but at least she had the guts to lead and make decisions and not hide behind never seen health advice. Only premier to advocate for borders to remain open and only once shut them to Victorians, took the most returned travellers and argued against travel cap reductions. Stayed out of lockdowns until it was the last option.. Actually stayed to the national plan not agreed then backflipped at every chance.. When Covid is over she will come out smelling of roses. compared to some others.

I've been to the Grand Final and the Royal Show this year.

Love me a good cave.

Even News Corp doesn’t think that.

The only area she needs to be popular is NSW. how stupid some voters are is only shown in Dans results when he should be in the clink for his so called handling of things.

It’s not a well written article but it seems like people were only polled on their own premier’s performance.

So that would be an indication of her popularity in NSW. Or lack thereof.

Highlights for Goyorals22
-Gladys Berejiklian’s net satisfaction rating has more than halved as the majority of the New South Wales population endures its third month in lockdown. Ms Berejiklian, who lead the east coast premier’s net satisfaction ratings a year ago, dropped from 34 per cent down to 16 per cent.
-While 56 per cent of voters still said Ms Berejiklian was managing the pandemic well, that number dropped from 68 per cent in July last year.
-There are 41 per cent of voters who now believe she is managing COVID-19 badly, up 15 points from 26 per cent last year.

That is from the NSW population

Her COVID response to the Delta outbreak has seen her numbers plummet. Coming out smelling like roses is a big stretch.

NSW made mistakes but from watching what happened to Melbourne (who locked down early and committed to elimination) it seems like Delta can't be contained in dense populations as it spreads faster than contact tracing. Hell, even NZ can't keep it under control in Aukland.

From that perspective, once you lose control, your only option is to start to allow a slow spread and eventual opening.

I'm still not sure how WA skips this step unless they get a vaccine that stops spread, or the virus soon mutates to a less deadly variant.

"Hey Jack look over there!"
*jab him with the vaccine*
*walk away while he looks at the wall for another 5 hours*

Jack: "On closer inspection these are loafers."
