Your first bat?
As I look through the various sports stores for a first bat for my young nephew for Christmas, it got me thinking about my first bat. I had plenty of generic department store bats that came with the token stumps/bails/rubber ball, but what about the first real bat... Mine was a Gunn & Moore...www.bigfooty.com
you are a crock..Clickbait headline!
Dour opening types like Michael Slater and Matthew Hayden. I guess it depends how old you are.
Prior to them it was Boon, Marsh, Atherton, Jimmy Adams (not an opener obviously), Mark Greatbatch
Those series of cut outs in the back of the back didn’t last overly long!
my brother had the Gold Crown Supreme and I had the Gold Crown Super Blade. First English Willow beast of a bat from U/14's onwards
The good old SP has made a comeback recently . I think a guy out east of Melbourne got the rights , even had Younis Khan using them for a year or two.Or this.
Do we know what Max Walker used to take Richie hostage in the commentary box
I had a Super Tusker when I was a kid, I asked my father for one because Allan Border also used one in the early part of his career. It lasted my entire junior career (7 years), but it split down middle in my final junior game when I was a little early on a pull shot and hit the base of the bat. What's better than a Super Tusker? Larry Gomes and Gordon Greenidge with Super Tuskers.
Any lad who owned one of those bats was built like a brick crap house as they weighed a tonne
reckless red and gathering green.. no not even close but nice to see a stars/renegades situation.. even if you didn't mean it..
