Justin Langer would you drop Marsh for Sydney. No I don't like the Aussie team changing much. Sound familiar
Its funny because we all know that if it wasn't someone as embedded in the team as Marsh they would absolutely be dropped.

Just bring in McSweeney if the bowlers think they can handle the workload with one less.

McSweeney bowls off-spin and has a best innings first class return of 4/89.

He would be ok for as many overs as Marsh on the SCG.

But Webster is more likely the go to as he is in the squad.

Langer spent the last hour rolling out excuses for Marsh.

And how the hell did Inglis become the reserve batsman. He hasn't done shit this season. They said he has a calf strain. But just goes to show the culture of cricket Australia and the boys club. And Langer is biased to marsh being a fellow wa player.
No that's unfair - Inglis has been in good form this season. If the selectors bring him in at 6, I wouldn't be complaining.

I don't agree on that been other batters in better form deserving of a spot

Australia 6/94. An absolute ****ing disaster.

In case anyone missed it, Mitchell Marsh 0.

That makes 73 runs @ 10.42 for the series to go with 3 wickets @ 45.66. What does this guy bring to the side? What is it the selectors see that I cannot see? I have to be missing something. Marsh's selection is akin to that of Jed McEntee for the Power.
Or carl veart being a terrible tactician for the Reds.

They've been trying to push him in for Carey for years.

300 runs here could be interesting... you'd back us in to win against most but given India's recent chases its anyone's guess I'd say
I can't help thinking of Edgbaston 2005, when England won by 2 runs. This could be that close.

Australia lead it by 333 runs with 9 wickets down. The question is, will Cummins bat on tomorrow?

Great rear guard action by Cummins, Lyon and Boland. The last two have added 55 after Australia lost 5 for 48!
At least we now have the option to place men close to the bat for long periods tomorrow. Should be an enthralling day's play.

I don't miss the days of the old MCG wicket that used to turn into a creek bed, but you would like to see some variability of bounce and turn on the 4th and 5th days. This wicket does nothing but get a bit flatter. There's a bit of sideways movement still but nothing to give the batsmen pause about their footwork.
