No way the curator should prepare a road to advantage Australia. Stuff that. Just prepare the pitch that provides the best contest between bat and ball.

I said it to myself last night and Adam Collins mentioned it in on SEN's New Ball program this morning, that there is a chance he becomes a Nick Kyrgios type character, ie entertaining, mouthy, hip, and showy, but wont deliver on his potential if he isnt prepared to do the boring long term hard grind.

The bloke could still be playing international cricket in 2040 - he has the talent - but he has to be prepared to do the hard stuff long term as well as the showy stuff.

He is only 19. That would make a good song.

The big danger for Konstas is the media circus and their desire to hype up everything the young bloke does. Hopefully there are enough level heads in the Australian team help him deal with the media hype.

To think the selectors almost didnt make the change because of Marsh nice guyness.

I laughed out loud when I saw the new guy’s Shield batting average of the past 2 years to go with his giraffe-sized bowling.

Australia has had so many guys who would’ve been 75+ cap first teamers for anyone else.

I said before the series started that India will miss Pujara's long, slow, patient innings and that someone will have to do what he did the last 2 series in Oz for India to make it 3 series in a row.

India didn't need him in Perth as Jaiswal and Kohli batted long innings in India's 2nd innings, but since then, the Indian top order just can't seem to bat a long innings. So many of their players get a rush of blood and play stupid get out shots when they don't need to.

Kohli at times has been disciplined and batted with discipline, but 3 or 4 times after getting past his first 20 balls faced, ignoring the cover drive wide outside the off stump, has got a rush of blood and got out in the 20's and 30's slashing at a wide ball.

So last week it was ok for Konstas to chirp and carry on.
This week we’re worried about his mental health when he gets it back…

As I said previously Konstas just needs to worry about scoring runs.

161 the chase.

This could still go very close I reckon. We have to hope Bumrah isn't bowling or at least not 100%. Ussie and Konstas need to make a serious dint.
I read that Bumrah can't bowl for 2 hours.
