AB was a bit of a campaigner. But he's still my favourite Australian Cricketer of all time. He stood up to that West Indies team who I still rate as the best ever. We were dreadful in the early/mid 80s.they were ridiculous. He, just baggy green, no helmet was the only guy that regularly stood up.
Saw footage of an old Australia A game vs the Windies in the 90's the other day there were guys facing Ambrose wearing nothing but ACB caps including Greg Blewett pulling him through midwicket.. must have been real beer men back then.

I am surprised that the ICC allow serving Umpires to pass comments about players on social media. I assume that X is from the real Richard Kettleborough. Then again knowing the ICC nothing should surprise me.

Actually I don't get the joke maybe I should break a long standing rule of mine and open the X. No, not worth it I will let it pass through to the keeper.

Having a look at the other posts on the account it looks like they are a strong Indian cricket fan and have English as a second language, so no I don't believe its the real Richard Kettleborough :)

The blue tick on Twitter used to mean it was actually the person, now I think it means that the user has spent some $ each month to have it there.

You are making a good decision to not open twitter - I don't have an account there and only click on links people send, but its still an absolute cesspool of trash.

I'll barrack for the Crows in a Showdown before I open a Twitter account.

How's Gautam Gambhir calling the Aussies soft, after the stoush between Bumrah and Konstas at the end of day 2. Apparently Sam had no business talking to Bumrah. Meanwhile, it's perfectly OK to shoulder charge an opponent, and gesture to Steve Smith about the Sandpaper-gate incident.

You are right, I will not open an X (formerly known as twitter) account due to Elon Musk's involvement. Musk uses the platform to espouse his view on world affairs as Keir Stamer just found out.

Yes, Cricket Australia need to grow some balls and lodge a formal complaint to the ICC. It will not do any good of course but they have to stand up for the Aussie players. The Indians have behaved abominably in this series and they should not be allowed to talk shit and walk away from it.

That was high comedy. Apparently it's a man's game and Konstas should harden up, but he shouldn't talk to Bumrah because it upset him. There was a contradiction in terms there that tied itself into quite a fancy knot.

Everything makes sense to them, as long as it fits their narrative.
