Another easy ODI win for the Aussie women today - that's 3 from 3. T20 games next, I know there's more points allocated for the one-off test match, but could the "Ashes" be retained before that even starts?

I am reliably informed that last night's win means the Aussie women have retained their Ashes without a ball being bowled in a Test.

Nope. They'd done that after winning the first T20 match.

With last nights win, the Australians won the series. Prior to that game winning the remaining 2 T20s and the Test could've allowed England to draw the series.

Also this video has a bit of context, the Women do play for The Ashes. Although its a bit more of a contrived piece of history than the men.

And unlike the men, the women actually get The Ashes when they win.

Damn - Davey Warner has failed with the bat in the Lime Green team's two BBL finals, but they've still won through to the decider. I bet the little bugger gets MOTM and they win it.
