Well, I needed a West Indian. I needed an Indian (you'd be surprised how few had a good record in England) and I needed two bowlers. Besides, there's one good quick left from that era for you and another spinner in a similar vein to Ashwin.

Besides, you have Warney. You don't need a second spinner. Get yourself a proper all rounder and a couple more quicks and you'll be fine.

Oh absolutely just funny that you picked the two I thought of after your comment yesterday 😂

Looking at the rules, I know of 0 Pakistan and Bangladesh players and I only know of 1 Zimbabwean (Streak) and he's taken.

I'm already feeling screwed.
I avoided the zim and ban players and still missed out on the premos

The_Reaper , yr up

tbh looking back at it i am not sure if bangladesh nor zimbabwe should have been 'mandatory' inclusions, but only selected if justifiable

i probably wouldn't have picked iqbal as high as i did, but knowing that he's probably the #2 player from his country on the board meant it made sense to take him early, and leave the 12th to the 'best available' zimbabwean

i spend every time period between picks concerned as to what decade i should target and whether or not if it's a player from a country i've already picked whether or not they have played with someone who has already played

it's a tricky rule that one, definitely makes for more determined thinking...

Most of the decent Zim and Bangladesh players have already been picked so now we are forced to sort through the bargain bin.

I haven't picked any yet and I'm struggling to find any decent players left to pick.

Just get the best players now and get bargin playrrs later

Steve Waugh - Australia - 80s

Was eyeing off Chris Cairns as an allrounder but wanted him with the next round. Any batting lineup with Dravid and Waugh is going to be reliable and Waugh is a capable bowler.

Was wondering when someone would pull the trigger on him.

I assume he has slided because most people want the option to have two Australians so a guy who played 160 tests over a 2 decade period makes that hard.

I probably won't be two Aussies. Have multiple players in mind for 2-3 other nations but one of the best foreign bowlers at Lords meant Waugh was ineligible. The two decades long career strikes off a lot of players
