We should have an Australian cricket draft after this.
Each player must have played test cricket.
Captain must have captained a test match.
Two players who have played shield cricket from each mainland state, one from Tasmania.
Whoever gets Bradman cannot pick any known Catholics

Can we all just into say Canberra and do it in person so it's quicker 😂

Too late now but maybe you should have only got their record in the decade you picked .

So with Warne in the 90s I only have his stats to the end of 99 for his profile in my team .

Then someone could have picked the 2000 version? Or maybe that's just shite.

But say Jeff Thompson way better in the 70s

In the 80s he got 48 wickets @ 35.60

In the 70s he got 152 wickets @ 25.61

Overthinking it I guess.

This is why I wish I just put it as debut.

It doesn't matter this is a fun game mate , well done getting it going , been enjoying checking the stats and realising how very few international players have been good at the MCG 😂

Viv Richards did well at SCG and MCG with 50 and 55 Average

Gordon Grenich with 45 at the SCG over 13 tests which is an awesome effort overseas.

All of these guys did well at the SCG

MS Dohni only averaged 33 vs England and Australia. This game was so hard to balance players

Joe Root had his big scores in England, had a lot of 60-80s in Australia so not entirely bad.

Muttiah only got 2 and 3 wickets in Australia. Warnie would have been my first choice but a lot of international players don't play well in Australia. Last time I remember a huge score was from Alistair Cook with a double century

1- Tendulkar
2-
3-
4- Azam
5- M Waugh
6- Botham
7- Tillakartne
8-
9- Cummins
10-
11- Holding

1970’s
1980’s
1990’s
2000’s
2010’s
2020’s

I haven't taken into account how my players would go at my home venue The Basin Reserve.

I assume my two NZ players would have gone OK there.

Hadlee probably would have gone better there than Vettori as it is more of a seamers pitch than a spinners pitch.

Hadlee did pretty well on any pitch at any venue though.

Tony Greig - ENG - 70s

This has been thoroughly enjoyable and becoming more challenging as the game wears on. The countries needed are dwindling but options for each nation are not equal.

One might have some good bats left but no bowlers and vice versa. Trying to decide who to pick next and hope that the next position isn't stolen is making for tough decisions.

Still having 3-4 good options for the positions left but having to hold fire to see if someone makes me pivot to a similar player and different nationality, which could then affect options for the next pick or double up selections.

Tough. But very fun.

There is a very good batsman who will almost certainly be available for my next pick, who would fit in great at number 4.
But I suspect I am better off taking an opening batsman instead.

I can leave one opening position for later but I can't leave both up in the air.

No matter how I played it I would have missed someone I wanted.

I could have strategized better but Im now very limited in what I can do. Nest SA player is that a batter or bowler, one double up who I really want the best pace bowler but cant take ollie robinson or any 2000s english player or any 2012 plus Australian bowler. Still need a 70s debut and a 20s debut

Id love to do a redo with some different parameters so we make it vastly different. Def get rid of zim and bang compolsury players

I mean SA has a lot of good batsman and bowlers to pick up.

can i change my pick if that player has not been picked yet?

it's more for aesthetic and humorous reasons than anything...

i think that'll make it obvious who i'd like to pick, but just in case, i'm rescinding josh hazlewood and picking...

David Boon - Oztrayan - right hand opener - 1984 debut

cos, really, you can't have a team named '52 cans' and not have boonie in it...

and cos i can only have two oztrayans i'd like to change my pick pls

Don't see why that's an issue unless the next person was about to grab him, they might disagree.

But your argument seems valid 😂

I would like to see 2 early wickets so I can watch Lara and Pieterson bat together .
