I'd just like to see some design back in the BBL. The kits are so boring compared to when the comp began.

There is a parallel between lack of design in the kits and the worsening spectacle of the series.

Now I’m not saying correlation=causation, but I am.

They really need black clash kits IMO. I was at the local Chinese restaurant watching Scorchers vs Renegades from afar while I was waiting for my food and I couldn't tell them apart sometimes.
If the clash shirt was just a black body with team coloured sleeves and collar while still wearing team coloured pants that would do the job.
Maybe COVID I dunno...

BBL 01 was the peak of shirts in the league. Scorchers, Strikers and Sixers all had their best shirts and Hobart, Melbourne & Brisbane with the grey secondary colour rather than the standard black was cool too. Has all been downhill from there.

There's no way Cricket Australia could be making even half the money they were before from jersey sales. Given the situation with covid, it's possible that it was just as easy for them to stick with the boring jerseys from the year prior, but I'd be expecting at least a change up for next season because as I said I just don't believe how CA could be making big money off merch over the last two years.

There's no way Cricket Australia could be making even half the money they were before from jersey sales. Given the situation with covid, it's possible that it was just as easy for them to stick with the boring jerseys from the year prior, but I'd be expecting at least a change up for next season because as I said I just don't believe how CA could be making big money off merch over the last two years.

Would have liked to see retro BBL01 shirts worn this season for the 10th anniversary but oh well

I always thought the Renegades should've just used a two tone red scheme. That one shirt they had with the darker red 'R' logo was their best IMO.

I don't think they care, tbh. No right-minded person would make this change to improve sales. It's obviously much bigger than this.
