Optical illusion shmocktical shmeshooshmon. That's called an obvious deflection. Error of parallax doesn't even make sense in this context.

Indian fanboys claiming optical illusion is pure copium

I mentioned before that the snicko audio synchronisation has been terrible recently.
In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the lack of spikes on the previous review was due to completely wrong synchronisation. It was totally clear that the ball hit the bat and then glove, even without the ball tracking.
Wonder if they’ll try the chip in the ball like all other sports soon.

Agree snicko has actually regressed in definitive quality since some boffins really tried to hone in on isolated audio over the last decade especially on glove contact. Hot spot would’ve probably worked better but they’ve seemingly got rid of it as is strangely only seemed to work ok in Australia, in other countries it was garbage and showed up nothing.

I also have a problem with the 3rd-umpire decision on the Starc LBW which should have been given out.
The vertical centre-line of the ball was within the stumps and the horizontal centre-line was below the top of the bail, but may have been slightly above the bail centre-line. What is the official criterion? I reckon that, not only should the onfield ump have given it out, but also the 3rd ump. What do you think?

Ben Keays is not a fan of snicko either...

Vader - once again the pitch was harder to score on as the game went on.

Australia 1st - 3.86 runs per over
India 1st - 3.08
Australia 2nd - 2.69
India 2nd - 1.95

It's why I was so confident overnight that it was very unlikely India would score the 3.5 runs per over to win with a record score.

It wasn't a 5 day road...

In this situation India would roll out a fifth test pitch that is literal concrete to ensure at least a draw
An Ahmadabad special.

It’s going to be interesting how the track plays, pitches in Sydney this season have been better than the usual total s**t heaps they’ve been in the recent past but even with Bumrah Australia’s best hope to win still seems to be something with a lot more life in it, India probably want another one slightly flatter as like in this match it can keep them in the match for longer.

Simon Taufel the umpiring expert used by the broadcaster gave a detailed explanation...

The top of the stumps is used as the upper boundary for DRS because the bail is an irregular shape.

The same for both teams so play on

Is there a clip of that delivery?

The same for both teams but its still wrong. He tried to pass it off as "bails are an unusual shape so it was decided not to include them"

What utter nonsense

They are called wickets... you don't have one without the other.

It means that the bails are higher in some places than others due to their shape
