His record in Pakistan is awful - 12 wickets @ 44.91, albeit from only 3 matches (i.e. small sample size).

He loves playing in Bangladesh, NZ and the West Indies, averaging less than 25 in all those countries.

His average in India & Sri Lanka is reasonably close to his overall career average.

Which you can bet with almost certainty that it will be. At best, it will be a deck that offers less than nothing for the quicks.

He's played 16 Tests in England (more than anywhere other than Australia), for 59 wickets @ 29.61. That's marginally better than his overall career average, but not by a whole lot.

Losing him due to injury went a long way towards changing the course of the last Ashes series. Not as much as McGrath stepping on the ball and spraining his ankle, but it still significantly reduced our bowling options which tilted the subsequent games in England's favour.

Interestingly, his economy rate in Pakistan is really good - he only goes at 2.46 runs per over (he averages 2.93 rpo overall). He just struggles to take wickets there.

The first two tests of that series in Pakistan were high scoring draws. No one took many wickets. The 3rd test was headed the same way but we snuck in for a win on the last day with Lyon taking 5 for in the 4th innings

Lyon has only played 1 series in Pakistan, back in 2022.

Rawalpindi
The pitch was an absolute road, with all of the bowlers struggling to make inroads. Across 2 innings, the Pakistani batsmen made 4/728. Australia made 459 in its only innings.

Karachi
Lyon was arguably the pick of our bowlers, claiming 1/13 (at a miserly 1.44 rpo) in Pakistan's 1st innings and 4/112 in the 2nd (where they only lost 7 wickets). Australia bowled them out for 148 in the first innings, with the wickets being shared around fairly evenly (no bowler claimed more than 3 wicket).

Lahore
Cummins & Starc routed Pakistan in their 1st innings, taking 9 of the 10 wickets between them. Lyon picked up a Michelle in the 2nd innings, taking 5/83 at 2.24 rpo.

Given the small sample size, Lyon's figures are massively biased by the Rawalpindi result. He more than held his own in both the Karachi & Lahore matches.

Here are Lyon's figures for each of the 3 Tests from that 2022 series:
Rawalpindi: 1/236 avg 236.0 ** Lyon bowled almost twice as many overs as any of our other bowlers
Karachi: 5/125 (avg 25.0)
Lahore: 6/178 (avg 29.67)

These figures show just how much the Rawalpindi result affects his average in Pakistan, particularly given the small sample size.

Lyon & Cummins both took 12 wickets for the series - no other bowler (on either side) took more than 9.

Yeah, that's good. Obviously any comments around overspin etc are massively overblown. He's pretty consistent if you look at that.

I guess it depends whether over was called but geez, he only had to wait one second after the ball hit the gloves for it to be considered over. My question is though, had the wicketkeeper missed the ball, would they have attempted another run?
