I mean it's true, but we've still looked horrible
Yeah, I don't mean to make it an excuse

But what are CA thinking here, trialing players, resting players

I like 50 over cricket, but they need to make these games relevant.

I reckon an International 50 over ladder would be easier than the test championship as well.

Also, the smart move would have been to rotate our 3 Test quicks through the 3 games. Play 2 out of 3 for each

Mind you probably would have made no difference in the end as our batsmen couldn't bat out 50 overs.

The main issue I and the commentators saw was that we played like a bunch of amateurs who had never played an ODI before. There were no nuances in adjusting the batting plan according to the situation. All the old lessons were forgotten, e.g., always bat out the overs.

What made it worse was the fatuous comments by the coach who indicated that we are just going to attack all the time. This gave me vibes of the England Bazball mindset, pretty vacuous.

The leadership was poor.

Can't tell me Inglis is better than Carey as both a batsman who scores runs when needed (refer to our last ODi series when he filled in) & as a leader.

Btw, well done to Dizzy for the 1st Pakistan ODI series win in Australia in more than 2 decades.

I think they basically tried to make it WA V Pakistan in that match so they could sell more tickets

Apparently, he's no longer the coach.

It’s getting to the stage of there being absolutely no point to play white ball internationals outside of the 1-2 months before a major tournament. Form lines never have any relevance this far out from a tournament and the public don’t give a shit about them either.

Just put a bigger priority on the domestic competitions outside of major tournaments if you want to find some form.
