Khawaja hands one to him… his feet have been nailed to the crease all summer vs Bumrah, you’d think he’d have tried at least something different to Bumrah by now.
He's Bumrah's bunny.

Should have use his feet to come forward.

When you've played FC cricket for 20 years it's hard to change your game.
I have seen him come forward before.

If he he can't, he may as well retire.

Would be very interesting to see the ball tracking on that one, to see if the ball deviated after passing the gloves.

Snicko had a lot of noise on it (particularly after the ball passed the gloves), and the replays were inconclusive at best visually. I'm not convinced either way based on the evidence used by the 3rd umpire.
I can understand your view, but I think it was out.
The gain was obviously turned up, giving continuous background noise, but there was a definite sharpish transient appearing briefly as the ball kissed the glove. The amplitude was less than usual because it didn't hit the bat.

Why ??

Credit to the bowler
Why would he setup differently to all the times he’s got out playing the same way? Maybe because what he’s done all series hasn’t worked? He’s been around for so long he would know what he’s doing isn’t working.

It’s exactly the Warner vs Broad in England thing all over again, Warner seemed totally transfixed/stubborn that he setup and played Broad the exact same way over and over again and same with Khawaja as he’s just seemed in zombie mode against Bumrah just sits planted to his crease, he doesn’t try to stand outside his crease or try to get on the front foot or move toward even full balls like the one today.

Has just been a sitting duck with all weight going back and again lost his balance jumping across the crease to what was an over pitched ball just outside off that didn’t do anything amazing.

You've reiterated my point.

Test cricket is easy

🙄 here we go again, just because it would be impossible for us Joe Blows to even face one Bumrah ball it doesn’t mean you can’t offer a little bit of a critique of a professional sportsperson when they continue to make an error they get paid sh*t loads of money to not make.

It should be easier to try to problem solve when it’s been your entire career and you’ve plundered as many runs as Usman has.

It's easier in theory, but you always default to what you know.

If he could problem solve at 38 we wouldn't be talking about his retirement. Much like Kohli and the 5th stump line its past that point

I'm not moving Trav from the middle order.

Find someone more permanent, i say knowing full well Ussie plays
In the subcontinent, Head is more suited against the new ball & before spinners take over.
