Some good Aussie bowling this morning. Boland unlucky. Great ball there from Cummins.
It's marvelous what happens when you pitch the ball up, and bowl it at the stumps - particularly against the tail enders.

Aussies bowlers couldn't have done much more this morning, great effort to wrap their innings up.

Can our batsman finally pull their fingers out.

Treat it like a T20, defensive shots will get them out.

Horrible pitch for a test, questions need to asked.
Horrible pitch is a bit hard. Some absolute good bowling from both sides. A bit of ball movement off the pitch but not a minefield.

It's not a great pitch, but you've got 2 batting lineups in ordinary form

Bowlers did their job, now up to batsmen.

No Bumrah opening helps.

Interesting that McDonald praised the pitch.

It's been the lowest average pitch for fast bowlers in our lifetime.

Doesn't seem to be able come down from top gear...

Don't mind attacking intent chasing this low score, but that was not a good cricket shot.

Am I the only one who doesn't like how Konstas is going about it? He doesn't look good enough yet to play this way as a test opener. Not sure there's much method other than to ride your luck and throw the bowlers. Don't know how sustainable this is.

Yes, your the only one. :D

A young David Hookes against Tony Grieg may have had the same advice.

I think it’s fine in his infancy as a test player and given the situations he’s found himself in you can maybe excuse it.

I just find it really weird he has never played any Sheffield Shield innings in this manner he’s just switched personalities to the player he is at that level which is the only thing I’m slightly sceptical about, saw someone say just now he’s in danger of becoming a ‘meme’ at Test level.

Short answer, it's not sustainable.

He CAN bat in a normal fashion, but for whatever reason in these 2 games he's chosen not to.
