I generally drive from home, park in Topham Mall and walk across. There's only 3 dedicated buses from Barker to the footy and they all go through Bridgewater, Hahndorf etc and it takes forever.

Would rather get in my car and drive, particularly for night games.

I did cop the increase during a Strikers game a couple weeks ago, decided to be lazy in the heat and park at the ground. Wished I hadnt.

Perhaps different for football.

The VAFL negotiated a reduction in priced for the likes of pies, chips, water, etc at Melbourne venues but not others.

If we are really the AFL, shouldn't they ensure basic catering options are reasonable in all venues?

That was a thing in the mid-2010’s when Gil was first in charge but I think they’ve since crept their prices up to be on par with most other venues.

Mind you, I don’t think anywhere has pricing as obscene as the SCG, though the SMA are giving them a run for their money now.

Back before we each had kids a mate and I tried it once in the early AO days and it was nuts. Took hours just to get back to the original drop off point at Mt Barker at which point I still had another half hour drive back to the Bridge. Never again.

Yeah I cant see why anyone would catch the bus from Barker, let alone Murray Bridge unless they REALLY had to.

I catch an "express" bus for work every day and its purely a cost saving thing.

I can’t see why not, it’s listed as sky city restaurant and bar.

The only downfall is you have to navigate the world’s worst car park.

But if your already having a drink or something to eat before or after it’s a no brainer.
I do enjoy that place, can get crowded but if you're in early enough its not a bad place to eat and drink.

You need a drink or three to navigate that car park 😂

When do public sale tickets usually go on sale for home games?
Nowadays they release the first lot (that is rounds 1 to 15 or whatever it is) in one big hit usually in February.

Then the rest of the season usually a week or 2 after they announce the dates and times for the last lot (May/June).
