Its tonight, and in reality its probably a 50-50.
We wont be a classy mid short of the flag if we lose.
We've beaten Geelong, Richmond and GWS all convincingly this season already.

A decent first rounder and a pick wasnt the deal that Carlton wanted last year, why do you think theyd accept it this year.

There is a fairly general consensus amongst our leadership group that Jack Watts is holding us back due to lack of urgency. I've heard our captain come out and say it. Happy to be proven wrong because I don't dislike him, but after 9 years and 150 games I don't like hearing that his efforts are 'frustrating'.

With Lever on the cards, I know we will be doing what we can to secure him, so a big call might have to be made. It might also be that Watts wants out as well? Who knows.

Mate - that was the deal SOS was asking for and still is. That said, Club would prefer Gibbsy plays on. Deal the same ....
after Malthouse gifted Eddie to you blokes by kicking him out the door along with Garlett/Waite/Robinson - Adelaide just forgot Malthouse got his own arse kicked out the door ...and thought Gibbs would cost nothing.

Realistically watts would of been playing vfl at Melbourne all year had hogan not had the various issues. Weideman is better, MacDonald is better and you can't play that many talls these days.

Our talks of McKay, curnow, casboult and silvagni are either young and developing or better than watts so we wouldn't be playing him.

I'm not a Melbourne fan, but there is absolutely no way you are going 'past Melbourne in no time'. Melbourne are further into their build and have far more talent at their disposal.

I didn't actually say he wouldn't just to recheck the mail as it seemed highly unlikely, from all reports he shouldn't have played and was well below his best.

Gibbs wants to come home. What amazes me is how overrated he is by Carlton supporters.
He would rate behind Sloane and the Crouch brothers in our midfield and probably behind Smith (when fit) and Laird in our backline. That makes him a depth player.
We wont sell our future for a classy backup who may have 2 - 3 good years left in him
