So by my understanding the success of BAT over the longer term is dependant on the uptake and usage of Brave? Is this correct?

I thought BAT was the driver behind Brave being more effective. That and from my very limited (possibly wrong!) understanding that BAT doesn’t just need Ethereum as a platform, it could switch. Also general confidence in ceo Brendan Eich.

But I’m just trying to ride spec waves. Have started with a very small snowball hoping for an avalanche but might be a couple months too late, time will tell. If I can make a bit ill put that in longer term coins.

When the movers and shakers on bigfooty say jump I’m basically saying how high?!

Unless you're cashing out into AUD on coinspot, it's usually not the more accurate reflection of the true market price that would be seen on an exchange - something to keep in mind. The pricing is generally inflated on coinspot.

Hi all

Complete Novice (Noob) here attempting to get involved in all this and starting from a background of no idea what any of this all means (but learning along the way). Decided to just dip my toe in the water with $50 and decided to buy XRP. According to a lot of the markets XRP is worth around $3.13, however when checking sites like Coinspot, BTC Market etc you can only buy anywhere from $3.60-$3.90. Is there a way to get closer to market value when purchasing Cryptocurrencies?

Appreciate the help, apologies if this has been discussed previously, I’ve been reading a lot of the thread and it has provided lots of good info. Cheers and hopefully I can contribute myself when I am bit more clued up on the whole thing.

Yeah but you can't buy it or sell it on coinmarketcap. You can do so on coinspot and AIR.
I understand this...but you getting on here saying that its a certain price is kind of misleading... I don't use either of those exchanges so you should state where you are getting the price from if you are going to blurt those statements out.
Coinmarketcap.com is truer to the price for me and I dare say the majority.
It's all good...

Well I'm surprised AIR and CS have gone up so much when the rest of the world hasn't. It was those I was using to get that price a few days ago.

Surely if there's such a big discrepancy in prices then a massive ARB opportunity exists? Who do you buy ETH through?

Tonnes of swing and arb trading going on.

I can see on binance it's 1130 USD, which is about 1500 AUD, and yet ETH is right now 1750 on AIR.

In fact, it's only do-able through coinspot. AIR only have three coins, and all of them are above the US rate. So, you can't cycle them back again, if that makes sense.

The only thing you can do is convert your ETH or BTC or BCH to cash through AIR getting a higher price, then deposit that cash back into a different broker and buy again. All that takes a couple of days though.

If all of coinspots are too high also then it's the same problem there.

Can Aussies do bank transfers or poli payments into binance?

It's an interesting aspect of the market I wish I had more time to really look into and use to my advantage.
Yes definitely an opportunity there.
I buy my eth straight off coinbase and then send to which ever exchange I'm looking to exchange coins on.....or straight to my Nano.
