Do you have examples of that happening in the real world?
Yeah the crypto queen disappeared after fleecing people on a fake crypto and pissing off to Saudi. Hundreds of mil... although it might have been 60? The hundreds I am thinking of is one of the thefts like the Axie system. Anyway I'll find the video.

It's a 70% fall from the previous all time high, which is about the average of the last 4-5 cycles of ATH to lowest point before the market recovered. While the market may yet have some room to fall it's at the point where it's viably oversold and out of favour, so it presents a good long term buying opportunity. This is specific to BTC and ETH mind you, not shitcoins.
Is the 70% number relevant, or meaningful? or just reflective of wider market movements?
Crypto basically moves is tangent with wallstreet and the other bourses, are you suggesting they have reached their bottom for this cycle?

ash_1050 said there's room to fall still.

85% drops in BTC have historically been the norm for bear markets, but so have blow off tops. Given we had no blow off top, I doubt we drop 85% this time. An 85% drop would put us at $10k.

Nobody knows for sure where the bottom is. If you're trying to time the bottom, you'll miss it and likely end up buying far higher. Dollar cost averaging BTC and ETH over the next couple years will likely prove to be a good strategy.

It's not a formula or rule as such, it's purely based on what's happened in the past. It's the same as the financial markets in that no one can predict the future, you can only speculate, so it's my speculation.

Crypto doesn't necessarily move in tangent with 'wall street', I'd question that. And if you read the post again you'll see I'm not calling the bottom, I'm saying it's fallen far enough from the peak (70%) that I'd start feeling comfortable accumulating again. I also say it may fall further.

To use an analogy it's like seeing West Coast being priced at $101 to beat Gold Coast today. While you're not sure if they will beat Gold Coast, you see that it's at a price where you'd feel comfortable putting some money on, as the risk/reward is at a level you're comfortable with.

Another real world application of NFTs: MetaBrewSociety

For any beer lovers, this basically gives you a beer pass for life! 160-240 cans of beer each year sent to you for free (sent in quarterly batches) for each NFT owned (they also cover shipping costs), part ownership in the German brewery (it's an existing brewery that has already been purchased), fully doxxed team, 3 day free event each year at Oktoberfest and plans to open up stores in other countries. NFT mint will be within the next month or two. They already have a shop on their website that you can purchase 3 of their beers to try out for 10 Euros.

I would maybe spend a couple of hundred bucks at least on buying beer cartons across a year, so these NFTs will pay themselves off fairly quickly.
This is minting September 22 ($950-$1,000 USD as ETH, depending on your WL spot). The taster pack I ordered arrived recently and I had my first MetaBrew beer last night, honestly went down like a treat (picture below, might have already drank a bit when I took this ;))!

Interesting that bitboy has now dropped the lawsuit. Good to see CT coming together to fight scammers in the space.

I'm just holding and buying small quantities of BTC whenever I can afford to.
