BTC crossing $100k and XRP at $2.63 is bringing back a lot of nostalgia.

My first BTC purchase was at about $130, and my first XRP was around $0.007.

At one stage I had ~60BTC, another time 400,000 XRP.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to return to my rocket car and solid gold house*

*if I'd learned to HODL

I'm glad you banked some profits back in the day. Your posts taught me a lot in 2021.

Let's just hope BACCS doesn't come back when XRP is $10 just to make you feel even worse :(

I lost quite a bit, to me anyway, back in 21, but I never sold what I had so I could say the losses arent realised yet.

I'd stopped buying anything a long time before November 22, but the chain I'd degened into far too much, FTM, was down to 16 cents, I thought **** it, one more buy. That last buy is up around 800% right now, and while it doesnt even everything else out, without it, it would be way worse.

With Fantom doing the Sonic thing, it's not unreasonable to think it could be another 3 or 4 x from here, but Im tempted to cut my losses and just get out.

If XRP hits $10 and Baccs is holding good on him, can’t begrudge someone for making a profit.

I don’t feel bad about it at all, still made a decent profit and learned a lot along the way. Almost no one hits that optimal buy/sell/hold window for investments, let alone one as volatile and as unpredictable as crypto.

Take the capital loss. Then pump that money into something that can still get you a 5x and then you make profit and the tax break with it.

Ever use silk road?

Huge candle on BTC, congrats to all the holders & believers on the $100k and new ATH just now!

There’s not much that could convince me to sell my BTC at this stage. It’s a generational asset class, it should be a part of every sensible persons financial setup. I think it has a few more Pops in it too, been saying $150k this cycle but think higher now. The game has changed since the Republicans got voted in. Not to mention Blackrock and the ETFs. In my mind, FTX was an inside job to crash the market, destroy retail and provide an entry point for the big boys.

At some stage I expect BTC to become less cyclical, but I think that will be when it’s valued much higher still than here.

Within 5 to 10 years BTC will be a significant treasury asset to the largest countries and companies world over. I don’t think the snowball effect of what’s happened this last little while is accounted for.

****ing stoked to have been able to cash some out for property and still keep some chips on the table!
