i have a few that i thought were cult heros

Jeff Hilton, Darren Cuthbertson, Alaister Clarkson, Anthony Ingerson, Martin Pike, Paul Prymke, Rodney Grinter

Worthy of a bagging:

Alaister Nicholson, Stephen O'Dwyer, Simon Godfrey, Craig Nettlebeck

Re: Cult hero's

Few more names for you though, not sure of their status:

Cult Worthy
Sean Charles
Glenn Malloy

Probably Not
Darren Kowal
Trent Ormond-Allan
Dean Irving

Rod Grinter = legend:thumbsu:

Not sure about bagging Nicholson though, sure he wasn't the best but he was used as a no. 1 FB and to be honest he had at least one good season. Similar to Carrol, played the best he could but usually a mismatch.

Cult Heroes (1990 & Above):
Andrew Obst
Glenn Lovett
NETTLEBECK!!!
Smoker

Love to bag:
Alastair Nicholson

Ben Holland (The time it was out on the full in the back pocket and he attempted to kick it back into play, only to find the behind post as a target...he copped it)

Brad 'Cant take a contest mark' Miller

Yer Andrew Lampril was awesome, don't you remember Rd 1 1992 Vs Geelong when he kicked that big floater deep in the pocket and Jacko was celebrating in the goalsquare hahahaha!!!..

Some Others

Chris Sullivan, Michael Pickering, Haydn Robins, Darren Cuthbertson, Jeff Hilton .

Good old sponsors were Snowy Mountain ( 92 ) & Pioneer Homes ( 93)

Drake were great too,

Brent Heaver was one. "Balls" Grinter, Ricky Jackson, Jakovich, Jeff Hilton, Jeff Farmer... all cult heroes. Guys like Juice have such a long way to go to reach their standard.

Mark of the Year in your first real year is a fair start. 29 will be on the back of the jumper by the start of next year.
same here... lets hope he keeps the twenty nine though. doesnt do a jeff farmer and change to number eight... then when everyone finally gets round to taking off the 33 and putting on number 8 he changes back again!

although he cannot play and probably shouldnt be in the side Nathan Carrol is a cult hero if i ever saw one. That haircut and the handlebar mustache.

some great names here guys that i have totally forgotten about keep em coming:

Michael Pickering (i forgot he even played for us), Brent Heaver.............i remember another guy cant think first name but he had hair like elvis surname was bryce....................couple of others i did like for us were peter rohde, earl "the duke" spalding, kevin dyson and craig turley!!!!!

another few i remember ross funke he was in the grand final sprint one year what a high light!!! stephen powell (loved him)

Wait till SuperMerc gets hold of this thread.

For me, you can't go past Kowal or Smith.

As the person who sported a #54 Brent Heaver jumper the day after his debut I'm happy to be recognised. I'd have to add Cuthbertson, Hilton, Gilbert, Shanahan, Kowal and the Philth. Was also shattered when Kevin Dyson left.

How about Wayne Lamb? Didn't he get 10 weeks in the U19's for threatening to belt an umpire or something? I think he made his debut in the game we drew against Sydney at the MCG in the early 90's.

To be honest I never really got into the 426 hype.

I reckon as the years go by the Brown Dog would have to develop into a past cult figure type status. With the evolution of the hair styles and the devil may care attitude he ticks the right boxes!

Forgot to mention "Chopper" Lovell as well. He was a gun... then we traded him to the Eagles for Craig Turley. Yep, that worked.

Dammit Cowboy that avatar disturbs me every time I see it. Its like a car crash, tragic yet I can't look away.

Its a classic though:thumbsu:

I like the edited version of it featuring the scrolling dance pad moves up the side to resemble one of those japanese dance games :p

If only we could put a couple of inches on Carroll and maybe a few kicking and spoiling lessons. He'd be a definite FB prospect then and we could enjoy the handlebar mustache for years to come.
