Really makes you realise how adaptable the human body is. I find this bit absolutely amazing...
"Yet the Lykovs lived permanently on the edge of famine. It was not until the late 1950s, when Dmitry reached manhood, that they first trapped animals for their meat and skins. Lacking guns and even bows, they could hunt only by digging traps or pursuing prey across the mountains until the animals collapsed from exhaustion. Dmitry built up astonishing endurance, and could hunt barefoot in winter, sometimes returning to the hut after several days, having slept in the open in 40 degrees of frost, a young elk across his shoulders."
There's lots of incontacted tribes out there
There is an island in the Indian region that has a tribe that inhabit the island and attack anybody that approach it. They've killed 2 fisherman that drifted too close once
Pretty sure the government just said we aren't dealing with them anymore after a few attempts to make contact and they leave them alone
The above mentioned tribe were found in the amazon im pretty sure
Usually contact with tribes like this is the end for them because they're not immune to our common viruses etc
Found this doco on the remaining member of the family

They'd drop dead in a day or so due to weak immunity.Would love to kidnap one of them and place them in the middle of a busy city like New York and film what they do.
wow that is crazy! makes you think differently about life thats for sureFound this doco on the remaining member of the family

Yeah, I think it might have been Peru where they found one just two or three years ago. Others have been found in only the last 20 years or so in Indonesia and I think PNG. Dense jungle in hills seems a good place for tribes to go unseen, particularly nomadic ones who don't make clearings which are visible from the air.Anymore of these stories, i swear i remeber seeing something in south america they found like a whole lost tribe or something?
