I don't catch up with much IGN anymore but I just saw this from a few days ago. Slower and more RPG than action. While this is reassuring to a lot of RPG fans I get a feeling with the hype that there is where a lot of the criticism is going to come from those expecting a more action/FPS game with RPG elements.

Well that's peoples fault for not understanding this game has always been an RPG first

Have admit I started getting worried in recent times with the amount of action videos being released that it was going to fall somewhere between Deus Ex and GTA or something. Only have to read comments from even here to know that is unfortunately some people's impressions. I'm relieved it's still a full blown RPG after all.

Same here, I much prefer a proper RPG. Im very keen to get my hands on it

If you only saw the trailers for this you could be forgiven for expecting GTA since that's how they've marketed it.

There are a lot of people who hated RDR 2 for being too slow and immersive. There's definitely going to be people who buy this and are disappointed it's more Deus Ex than Saints Row.

I always figured it would be a proper open world deus ex with a penis type game.

Good, open world Deus Ex on steroids is pretty much all I want. Tone does look more GTA than Deus Ex tho, at least from the trailers.

Bang on. When I saw the first trailer with Keanu, I said to some of my co-workers that this is basically a GTA-clone trailer. I obviously know the game isn't going to be like GTA, pretty much in any way. And I'm more than ok with that, in fact, I'm desperate to be like Deus Ex.

But there's no doubt the marketing is leading this into a territory that makes it seem far more goofy, GTA leaning than it's ever going to be.

Having a look at The Witcher 3 trailers, they seem far more faithful to what the game represents to what I've seen as the commercial/mainstream marketing for Cyberpunk.

I might be wrong seems to me the nomad lifepath will the most popular? The starting area looks pretty cool. I added a poll as I'm curious what everyone here is going to go with. I'm leaning towards corporate as I start to build some RP in my head.
Im going nomad cause I like the starting area

i'll probably just play through all 3 prologues out then pick one to continue, but I feel like corpo would be cool in this setting but who knows without playing
