NO

Maybe you're brain went missing. Rioli did not go missing. Had a very notable game and got in the coaches votes. Just to put in perspective Buddy didn't. Rioli has done very well against the two hardest teams in the AFL (he obviously can't play against himself). You are so wrong, maybe you mean...

Steve J, Stokes and Byrnes went missing.
Stokes and Byrnes have never been described as "superstars".

Stevie J had 17 touches, was involved in most of our second half goals (bar 3 of them), kicked a goal himself in the third and finished with 3 goals, 5 marks and 6 tackles.

Rioli had the 15 touches, 2 marks, 2 goals and 3 tackles.

You probably shouldn't throw a champion like Johnson in there just for the sake of it because the bloke played a pretty good game for only his 3rd game for the year.

Stokes and Byrnes have never been described as "superstars".

Despite the fact that Cyril is yet to have a season in which he's played better than Stokes and he has also never reached the heights of Byrnes in 2009-10. I wonder if those two will ever sniff a top 50 players list?

And what the hell, I'll throw Schneider in as well.

Don't forget the sidestep factor. Add hype. Add McAveney gushing bodily fluids and voila! A "superstar".

rioli had a very good 3rd quarter. Unsighted in the fourth when the hawks needed someone to step up and kick a goal

He wasn't great but was still good. Obviously he has such high standards that you view a good game as poor.

Or maybe you've set such low standards that you view a poor game as good.

*yawn

How's Christensen tracking?

Hahaha Bundy had as many contested possessions as Cyril had possession total.
So you could say he is tracking pretty bloody well thanks for asking

Of course he has, your comparison is only on the basis of raw stats, whereas the full breadth of comprehensive stats shows that Rioli spanks Stokes and Byrnes every year, including this one.

2012:
Rioli 102 Champion Data points
Stokes 49
Byrnes 42

2011: Rioli 96.5 CD average (Stokes and Byrnes not in the Top 100 so I can't look them up)

Just understand that you're comparing players based on raw stats only. A Dream Teamers view of the game, and so your comparisons with Stokes and Byrnes are completely invalid and also kinda embarassing

Johnson kicked another later and Hawthorn lost by less than a kick. :thumbsu:

Like I said, had an absolute romp impact wise... :thumbsu:

Sounds like Franklin's game.

PS. Johnson kicked another later and Hawthorn lost by less than a kick. :thumbsu:

Franklin was okay. Needed to kick a goal in the last quarter to make it a good one.

Stevie J, I didn't even notice he was on the pitch most the game, what did he score according Champion Data, 68? Below par.

Franklin had 89.

Yeah Franklin probably had it kicked to him 20 times for two goals, Johnson probably had it kicked to him four times for three goals.

I'll take the latter. :thumbsu:

Tell me, how are scores measured in football games? Goals kicked or ridiculous Champion Data points?

In goals kicked, it was Johnson 3, Franklin 2.
