What about Anton from Hampton. He is a likely type. Plays the alias game fairly well also.

1.Ulbrich
2.Anton
3.Pucella

The big Italian woolly mammoth is getting fleeced in the European tropics while his cow(gender reference) bears their first litter. Will hurt his chances.Alias Anton, much to the chagrin of the Hampton faithful has converted to Ajax such are his outbursts of late. Can't see him polling well. Especially now the Bronzed Warrior has slipped into 4th gear and motoring along in the goalkicking stakes.Get on the vintage '39 Ferrari - It's the ride of your life.

I liked this forum better when Parade where the but of everyones jokes.... We can take this banter back to our Hampton Rovers funny forum banter thread. We should leave this for serious D1 conversation.

Holt, why are you talking to yourself on here??? read: Solarium Obsession and PrezChief.

Just because you know all the dance moves to Hangin' tough by New kids on the block and you have a pet rock named steve, doesn't mean you can have two alter-egos.

If the umpires do not give Daniel Andersen 3 votes after his performance last week against Old Mentonians, then there's something wrong with the way the VAFA umpires view the B & F. Would it be better apart from umpires award votes, maybe also have the scribes from each section award a 5-4-3-2-1 voting system in 'The Amateur Footballer' Player of the Year Award? Get Sportscover to sponsor the award with the scribe from each section award votes based on players who have performed well for that club each week. The winner at the end of the season would receive a trip for two to the destination of his choice flying Jetstar, and his club would pick up $10,000.

A bit tough to expect anyone but the umpires to award the votes Jase.

As mentioned in other threads, coaching staff may choose not to publish their best 6 in the AF, and scribes are not well placed to determine who played well in one, let alone all five of the matches played in their section.

Unrealistic mate....

Why just Jetstar? That is so loose. Why not Garuda Indonesia Airlines, the club gets a used briefcase with no combination and the umpires get a piece of fairy bread signed by sedat sir.

Thats a real prize.

Though, if framed and countersigned by Matthew Dent, it could fetch at least double.

Who do you think will win the D1 Best & Fairest medal later this year?

Here are my tips:

1. M. Pietryk (Bull Temp)
2. T. Rees (Peninsula)
3. A. Sleight (Prahran)

Outsider: G. Carr (Hampton Rovers) & M. Lawrence (Hampton Rovers)

1.Carr Rovers
2.Snow OM's
3.Sleight PFC

With Keem's massive finish to the year is it conceivable that he may pinch enough of the votes for a win? Might be a bit of an ask given YV only won a few games. Interested to see how the forwards poll in the count. Some big bags were kicked throughout the year.

I'll take this one Mick - though I trust you have been invited along as one of the Rovers' clan.

It's next Monday night at the Sebel Albert Park, starting from 7pm.

Get along for your fair share of rubbery steaks, unlimited Carlton Draught long-necks, $10 bottles of Cab Merlot and loads of those nasty little chocolates they serve with the understrength brewed coffee at 11.00pm.

Fortunately the VAFA have learnt from last year and scheduled it a week later. Last year I have vague recollections of continuing Mad Monday through to the vote count and pretty much embarassing myself on stage when stuffing up the voting and then almost knocking over Simon Kelleher whilst draping the medal around his neck.

One of the worst efforts ever.....:D

So who are the leading vote getters for each club? I presume they would have been advised by now who has been invited.
