Fradkin (B C) - 70

While it's nice not to be written off as a rabble & likely to get pantsed on a regular basis it's a bit premature for blokes to be taking the lid off Bulleen after beating NB (rebuilding) & AP (not a good day).

As for Fradders; he's now a committed 'assists' man. He might kick 70, but he'll be more concerned with racking up the 1%ers than kicking goals!:D

:thumbsu:----I'd have to agree with the top 5 Drongo. Fifth spot will be a real battle. I think its good the league has decided to create it, as there have been the final four in previous years.

After playing top three teams last year I would have to say that West.Brun would have probably won against any of them, but not easily probably by a couple goals! I think S.F.X and Kew would be around PAR with them!

Agree that West.Brun aren't streets ahead, but I'm not sure if their 12.18 to 6.6 win over Kew agrees with the "around PAR" judgement. Did Kew have many out that game, or did they do whatever AP did on the weekend?

The SFX v West.Brun Round 10 game should be a cracker. Big build up.

Bulleen might just slip into the five if what I hear is true - the big changes around the place during summer are starting to take effect. You have to crawl before you can walk and it looks like they are starting to take baby steps! Should be a very tight finish for fifth spot, would have been a real shame to only have a final 4 with so many looking like fighting for that spot at this VERY EARLY stage of the season. Well done to the VAFA for not sticking with the easy-to-manage final 4.

How is Mt Lilydale getting such high predictions of ladder placings when the only team they have beaten that may even come close to playing finals is Box Hill North? Let's just see how they stack up against Kew this weekend now that the mountain men have had a bit of a run into form against some weaker opposition in Syndal, Eley and Box Hill. Granted.....The Rams had a lot of vital players missing in their opening 2 games against West Brunswick and St Francis, and the rumor is that in the coming weeks they may be a little short on some more experienced players for various reasons:confused:

Had a couple out as did West. They kicked 5.5 to nil in the first with the aid of a strong wind and we played dumb footy when we had it. We are not flying the white flag up the flag pole just yet.

Can't argue with results:

West beat Syndal by 103, Mt beat Syndal by 93, Kew beat Syndal by 60.

Mt definitely had a lot of players out earleir in the year and they have only played 1 game at home.

They also have a lot of players who were injured in pre season now coming back although a key player for them got injured (allegedly) in his first game back for the year last week.

They are a very even team who generally play well at home and their only 2 losses have been to 1st and 3rd (by 4 goals).

Mt Lilydale will be there come finals (Bricksy and Gibbo the keys).

However the acid test will be this weekend vs Kew.

There Key player back(CHF)first game for the year kicked three goals in the first five minutes of the game then pop went a hammy! But I have a feeling you might have known that, infact you seem to know a bit about the MT.LIL team-----a player from there maybe?

Hey Ruckmachine... has the ground come up ok at elgar park? We'll be playing on the ground right next to elgar rd right? This ground is the only one I ever won a game on in my D4 career :) Pretty lame really. I might have to get a run on the bench at some point this year to get number 2.

Ground just ok Waz. Yes, playing on ground closest to Elgar Rd.

Don't count your chickens for win no.2 though!!!!!

We will have 6 senior players back for the club this week, which should benefit both seniors and magoos.

Looking forward to a great game. No Royal across the road though which is disappointing...........:D

I'm not counting any chickens... I predict two close matches, BHN is my favourite team to play! I'll probably be umpiring the 2's... depending on whether our normal umpire is back in town...

That place is a disaster waiting to happen! They have a gas BBQ indoors with a hole in the roof for a chimney :D... And they have some dodgey a$$ strippers. Its a miracle its still there but I guess it'll be a sad day when it's gone.

Dodgy it may be, but at least the floors get a good clean when the strippers cans are unleashed!

Doesn't look like it, as "doing whatever AP did" would mean getting comprehensively beaten by a better side.

Interesting to note BHN had 4 players miss seniors on Saturday with rib injuries from the week before, plus 3 others taking bruised ribs in.

Did they all go out slam dancing after the game the week before?

Bulleens results do suggest a massive improvement from last year... Only just losing to Kew, and perhaps unlucky to lose to South M. Beating AP definately puts them in the running for the top 5. Who are the awesome new players down Bulleen way?
