Just wanted to rip the muzzle off to say cheers to all for a ripper year.

Congrats to WB who unfortunately for us were simply a better team then us. Great depth all over the field and their marking power (among other things) exploited us.

Quality standard of footy across the grade- well and truely superior to what idea common folk would have in their head of D4 footy.

One departing question for BIGWAZ- who was pretty good at sparking a bit of banter on the training track and some quality motivation later in the year.

Did you simply not rate us? Or was it something more sinister when you had the occassional pot shot and loved tipping against us?

Ha. Well... The two times we played you guys we drew once and were leading in the final term... We got smashed by WB and ML... and handily beaten both times by kew, so on those results we thought you weren't as strong as the other clubs mentioned. Simple. There was nothing against you guys. We enjoyed two great games! Both the ressies games were tight also.

Glad I was of assistance ;)

Nice reply Waz - I think everyone tips - or rates teams based on how they perform against their own. eg. Albert Park didn't play their best against us - so everyone at North Brunswick was pretty shocked that they did so well. Whereas WB and Kew smashed us and seemed far and away the best teams.

Fair point OZZA, But you certainly cant discount matchups/how well a team travels/injuries etc, there are plenty of variables each week. For example Kew probably match up better on WB due to their height and marking power, but Kew battle against us because of our run. Sth Mornington's effort against us in the last round was that of a finals team, their pressure on the ball carrier that day would've worried anyone, yet we beat them by over 20 goals ten weeks earlier.

Agreed WB were the best team all season, very professional, diciplined unit. Well deserved. We had a crack but fell short. We look forward to the challenges of D3 next year.

There is a bit of talk about division changes in the VAFA next year. Here is wat Rooster1979 thinks:

The SFL is downgrading to 2 Divisons of 12 teams as 1-2 clubs seems certain to fold. The remaining 2-3 Sides are likely to either get the chop or helped to be moved on to other leagues. (There are currently 2 x 10 team grades and 1 x 8)

If 2 sides are granted entry into the VAFA, D3 will also become a 12 team comp, if 3 sides, D2 will also become an 11 team comp.

Promotion and relagation will work like this:

2 New teams - D4 - Two new teams enter. D3 - Two promoted from D4, NONE relegated to D4. Normal promotion / relegation between D3/D2.

3 New Teams - Same as above but only one team will be relegated from D2 to D3 (St. Mary's Salesian)

You heard it here first.....

So I suppose we all watch this space. And yes thanks to all those who did not rate us, great motivation. Look at it this way, you wont have to do the trip to Beaconsfield next year. D3 sides are already complaing about it. Oh well stiff sh.t hey.

Settle down Dave, everyone on the forum rated you guys highly, just not as highly as WB, Kew and AP.

Hopefully I can Ruck against you again on 2010.

Shaun Irvine from BHN had 3 games where he had 40 touches from CHB. And only 1 vote! :)

I would suggest if your back line player is getting this amont of touches the ball was down there alot, likely 3 midfielders/ruckmen whoever from opposing teams getting the votes. Great player but vote getters normally come from winning teams and from players in the middle of the ground.

Should win BHN best and fairest again, a few other backmen could be lining up for BHN club votes too.

i'll believe it when i see it

who would be the 2/3 clubs that come across?
who would be the 2/3 clubs that are folding?

B&F night isn't for another 2 weeks for NB.
First 14 rounds were counting yesterday at the club....
3 horse race between - Sorleto, Harkins and Pizzari at this stage. In that order with 4 rounds of counting left....and Pize misses one of the last 4...should be interesting.

half way through N.Ritchie is flying but misses a few games so it will be out of B.Cookson and D.Truslove

hey waz tell dance the creek connection at bulleen said well done he will know who it is

Did his ankle badly in round 11, then came back four weeks early from an 8-week injury (didn't get out the goalsquare until round 18). If you saw him you'd know he was in no condition to play senior football.

He who doesn't know what he is talking about should shut the **** up.

So you decided to play a senior player who was leading the b and f after round 10 at the expense of a reserves player who had probably played all year. That my friend is called stacking!!!

By the way you are absolutely full of s^%$. If he couldn't move as you say and had to sit in the goalsquare then how in the last 3 games of the year in the ressies did he only kick 3 goals yet got best in every game.

Must be great at giving assists :D
