SM @ BHN - BHN have been improving in recent weeks and will push SM in this one. SM have too much on the line though, with a loss perhaps ending any finals aspirations. SM by 5 goals.

ML @ NB - Like BHN, NB have been improving, almost leading latrobe at half time a few weeks back. However ML are going from strength to strength. A loss here would be a big upset. ML by 8 goals.

SWIN @ The Chad - Swinburne will be thinking about a big percentage win to keep in touch with the three teams ahead of them. Swinburne by 14 goals.

AP @ RC - Its been years since there was ever more than a few goals seperating these two sides. I hope that trend continues, but in RC's favour for a change. RC by 1 point.

THE MAN @ LT - I think everyone gets a shock when they show up at Latrobe's ground. Just work it up the guts Manningham! Don't screw around on the wings :) LT by 14 goals.

EP @ Kew - Kew will be looking for revenge after getting trounced by EP earlier in the season to the tune of 10 goals. They'll be happy not to play on that strangely shaped ground as well. Kew back in the winners circle by 14 goals...

Reserves

BHN over SM
ML over NB
Chad over Swin (what happened to swinburnes ressies recently?)
RC over AP :)
LT over MAN
Kew over EP (just)

Round 12 Tips

Box Hill North vs South Mornington - BHN by 1 point
North Brunswick vs Mt Lilydale - MTL by 9 goals
Chadstone vs Swinburne Uni - SU by 12 goals
Richmond vs Albert Park - RC by 1 goal
La Trobe Uni vs Manningham - LTU by 11 goals

Pretty board 2day so heres the run down.
TOP 7 D4 TEAMS-----7 rounds to go

Lt.U 11 wins. play 3 of the top 7.
A.Park 10 wins. play 5 of the top 7.
Rich.C 8 wins. play 5 of the top 7.
Mt.L 7 wins. play 3 of the top 7.
Kew 7 wins. play 3 of the top 7.
Swinny 6 wins. play 3 of the top 7.
Sth.M 6 wins. play 2 of the top 7.

A.PArk and Rich.C with the toughest runs to finals with Sth.M the easiest. Lt.U, Mt.L, Kew, Swinny all roughly even. Mt.L to play Rich.C-A.Park-Lt.U one after the other in the last three rounds.
I Believe the top five to now be set with Rich.C, MT.L and Kew to fight out for 3rd spot. With the run home Swinny and Sth.M have though, well you never know!!!

Tips round 12:
B.H.N v Sth.M----Sth.M by 6 goals to stay in the hunt.
Chad v Swinny----Swinny by 10 goals.
Rich.C v A.Park----A.Park by 5 goals.
Lt.U v Manny----Lt.U by 10 goals.
Kew v E.Park----Kew by 7 goals.
:thumbsu::thumbsdown:
2's:
B.H.N, Mt.L, Chad, Rich.C, Lt.U, Kew.

Think about it BigWaz its University holidays Swinburne's lineup usually loses about a dozen blokes back home to work...Their 1's are coping pretty well considering but they are well down in the two's obviously...apparently they have a geriatric back line this week with half a dozen players coming out of retirement to help out

Thoughts from around the grounds last weekend??
South Morn lucky to get away with a win and stay alive.

Ap too god for RC, especially in the first quarter.

Happy to report that AP had representation at the bar till 7pm :)

Good win by the RC reserves, bring on Kew this week.

Interesting to note that 2 of AP's best players - Cowboy and Maunder played their first games in sometime. Obviously still have some injuries judging by their reserves!!

The one's

SM x 15g at home...say nome more
NB, no forward line but midfield will kick clear x 5g
RC at home?? if Horne plays and his team mates talk to him Kew will win by 8g
MTL at home in the snow by 10g
SW at home will put more pressure on RC with a 10g win.
LT will stay undefeated, shame this game wasn't moved to the 'G' on Friday/Saturday night or even Sunday....yeah a big one

The two's

SM, NB, RC, MTL, SW, LT

Fuseballs tips for Round 13 (unlucky for some)

SM v EP - Closer game than Round 4 however same points result with SM by 30 pts

NB v Chaddy - NB always puts up a strong contest and will take there 3rd win for the season agst a struggling Chaddy . NB by 55 points

RC v Kew - Biggest game of the year for RC but I dont think they have the depth to hold the Kew forwards and kick enough on the return. RC to drop out of the 5 and quite likely the finals hunt! Big call I know but Kew by 25 points

MTL v BHN - Mountainmen for mine. In fair form and the points too important for the hairy men. MTL by 17 points. However RM to be BOG.

AP v LTU - LTU to find it a different game compared to the last 2 rounds. AP at home will reverse the points of round 8 and sit equal top - win by 18 points

Swin v Mann - Win the Swin and they enter to top 5. I think they will and then set up a cracker next week v RC. Swin by 72 points

'Big call', how about 'massive'......I cant see Rich.C missing finals again this year, not with all the new talent they have down at K.B park, also with the new coach who seems to have all the players respect. They do have the toughest run to the finals than any other.

Also thanks for giving me a laugh with the 'RM to be BOG' comment.

Tips round 13:

Sth.M v E.Park----Sth.M by 6 goals. Still keeping the dream alive.
Nth.B v Chaddy----Nth.B by 10 goals. After playing Nth.B last round I can say that they should be better than 2 wins for the year. Hang in there.
Rich.C v Kew----Rich.C by 2 goals. Great match this one, but a must win for Rich.C if they want to challenge deep into finals.
A.Park v Lt.U----A.Park by 2 goals. 1 v 2, would have liked to seen this clash.
Swinny v Manny----Swinny by 7 goals. Still keeping the dream alive.

2's:
Sth.M, Nth.B, Kew, Mt.L, Lt.U, Swinny.

AP beat Latrobe in 1's by 5 points (close all day with lead changing plenty of times, both teams kicked numerous goals against the wind)

AP beat Latrobe in 2's by 20 points.

Hard loss for RC... Tough defensive match, with every goal a challenge. Kew did a great job bottling us up in the last quarter. pretty much every player at one end of the ground the whole quarter and kept us to one goal with the wind.

Ouch.

Really tightens up the race for 5th, that result. I would say the top 4 are safe, however RC have now given Swinny and Sth Mornington an opening. From what I've seen Richmond are comfortably the best side of the three but having said that if Swinburne's guns keep firing they can beat anyone on their day.

This week's RC v Swin game is huuuuge!

is it alway that windy down at KB reserve?? good atmosphere there with the RC past players day.

kew happy with the win...considering we only kicked one goal after 1/4 time...that wouldn't happen very often

3rd-7th still very tight...as kew & ML still have AP and Latrobe to come (I think ML do).
