Come on now children.......Let's play nicely with the mountain folk.

Could it be at all possible that the Rams are the only club with passionate enough supporters that are willing to get down to the footy every Saturday no matter where we are playing and stick up for their mates?
Maybe.....or maybe not? Either way, a little Sh!t stirring from the sidelines is a part of every game.
So if you can't handle the banter or high pitched wailing, perhaps I could suggest some ear plugs or you get down to your local comedy club and take notes on some of the best one liner comebacks the comedians can muster.......Or do as your mummy told you and stay away from those naughty bad people from the hills.

Anyway.....I'm off to meditate and rid myself of the hurtful things people have said about my club......

i wouldnt have thought there would be to much 'boxing' coming from sm this week, justa good measured win, continuing preparation for a hopefull first finals birth in the vafa!
 
I agree with u flowerpower, there may as well not be a tribunal as it doesn matter wat happens or what anybody says in the hearing. Even if the 'victim' denies the eleged action, they ignore this and go with the umpire anyway, if the 'victim' has no problem with the 'incident' why are we even at the tribunal in the first place!

Perhaps todays banter might be positive for Mt Lilydale - the club may realise what others really think of it and act accordingly???????

'Banter as you put it, is exactly all it is, a couple of opinions about supporters from people with forum names is not worth much. Keep up the intelligent 'banter Flowerpower, I do enjoy a laugh.;)
 
just woundering a team of the year anyone willing to give it a crack who would line up wear captin vice captin bench ect, also is there a night for the players the competition puts on to host players from d4 and other div for comp bnf
 
Well to my reckoning you have forum names from atleast four other clubs all saying that your club behaves in a disgraceful manner. Rather than show some accountability and address the problems your club shows on the sidelines you make excuses and tell the rest of us that we should behave more like the animals you do... Sounds like proof that your culture stinks. You will never do more than make up the numbers until you show a little bit of integrity.

or someone else?- some very good rucks this year

and to answer your question yes there is a night for comp b&F. It is for all divisions and the leading vote getter from each club is invited(very occasionally top two from a club when it is close)

Flowerpower- usually i read your posts and laugh at your sh!t stirring but a personal attack against a supporter is a bit rich. Possibly time to stop sooking and get a bit thicker skin.
Many clubs are quick to jump on the forum and pot us before patting us on the back when we actually stick around after the match and pump cash over their bars. Its D4 footy guys. Bit of fun. There are many good people in the league, pity the same proportion don't post on the forum.
 
From South Mornington some potential team of the year players would be: Grant Ryan (HalfBackFlank), Scott Smith (Ruck), Ben Price (Ruck Rover), Nick Wood (Forward Pocket/ Half Forward Flank) Sam Wright (Wing/ Rover)

Yep - and the level of abuse levied against officials (volunteers) by some of the Mt Lilydale low lifes deserves to see them exposed for what they are.

I have no idea if any of the people posting on this site are the tools that I refer to; and that's not really the point. The point is that some representatives of the footy club are tarnishing a lot of good work that others put in. We all know that all footy clubs have 'different' blokes / people involved & it is the job of committees to keep them under control.

The point we are all amking is that Mt Lilydale are failing in this regard. And by the sound of it, it is defiitely not an aberration, it is a regular event. Read once a week, every week of the football season.

As for Mt Lilydale 2's, well done and well deserved on making finals. Our magoo's made the finals for the first time in years last year (Went out in the Elimination final....). Good luck in the finals guys, I reckon you will do well, and as for Rodwell, he is by far the best two's player going around. FWIW, I hope he decides to play senior footy at some stage as he is wasting a lot of obvious talent.

Rodwell played most games for the Seniors last year but wanted to play Ressies this year. We'll just have to see if he decides to go back up to the 1's next year. He has thoroughly enjoyed playing in the Ressies.

They all play different styles in the ruck too. Its been interesting watching the Ruck match-ups all year.

I agree Hooke played a good game against us this past weekend, but its hard to go past McIndoe for general footy smarts. Very solid in defence. There is no harder hitter in D4 though than big Luke Jamo. There'd be a few on this board who've been on the wrong end of the ram jam :)

I also agree with "Sneak"... Nick Wood is a very handy utility/forward from Mount Lilydale.

Clearly the forward line must include Yaman, Horne and Nuske (or Bagwell). Half forward... Penny... Murnane (?Can't remember his name).

Midfield... Chuck in any or all of 5 Latrobe midfielders/wingers (been forever since I've played them), plus Dallas...and Pike from RC. Maybe Cookson? ( Been forever since we played NB as well, but they must have some decent runners).

BAck line... Don't know many from other teams... but Woodberry and Carpenter have been stars for RC this year. Ruckmachine of course.

Bench: Bigwaz, IFF, Sneako, Flowerpower.

Oh, and by the way... It seems we have a flood of new posters... Which would be great if they were all different people! And what is the point of picking on Mount Lilydale? Everyone has there moments...crimes of passion, or what not.

I don't want to point the finger ... but every team bar RC is full of a$$holes :)

As soon as we drew her foul behaviour to the attention of another female [committee member at the time] from the dales .... off they both went .. verbal crap. She hides behind the fact that she is female & therefore can't cop what she deserves - huge kick up her ample ass.

Fair enough Ram but I didn't bring the abuse subject up. You might find it was your team having a go at a Richmond member that began all this!

And yes, sh*t stirring is a passion but 10 other teams can't be wrong about the mountain troll........... :D:D

Shaun Irvine (BHN) deserves a mention for the D4 team of the year, along with Penny, Desmond, Axten and Ball.
 
alright guys i think we hav given mt lilydale enough crap, look i hav copped it off them to but at least they are good blokes to talk to after the game and hang around for a beer thats the important thing.
i hav put together a list of players who i think will be up there for there respected teams b&f:

Latrobe: McClean, Van ooi
albert park: hayes, maunder, kane
kew: duke, bell, fultheim
richmond: pike, nuske, fiske
sth mornington: wright, ryan, price
mt lilydale: hooke, stewart, pulkka
swinburne: yaman, manning, scrase

Houlden has transformed himself into a very solid full back, SOS like, some would say..
As for Bennett, only 1 word comes to mind..dominator.

Bennett will take out the sharks B&F without a doubt.
Marsiglio should run 2nd, although missing recent weeks due to injury could prove costly.
Had he played more than 8 games, Lindsay would have been right up there also.
Creswell - missed too much footy to be a serious contender, but always polls well so will be thereabouts.
Minor placings to be fought out between Alexandridis, Silvers, Robinson and of course D.Viola - who you can never rule out.
Quiet year for M.Viola by the very high standard he has set himself in the past. Might make a late run but will be coming from too far back.
The likes of Pillay and McCabe would certainly be up there, had injury not restricted them both to a third of a season.
Houlden - gets the job done but often the hard work goes unnoticed so doesn't poll the votes. Clearly under-rated. In the unlikely case that he plays on next season, look for him up the field again.
 
Brain a very, very lucky man only the 2!

I notice it was a Pull(ing) Patrick combo - comments probably justified even though I wasn't there!!!!!! :):):)
