Daft Punk-New Album?

Instant Crush is probably one of my favourite Daft Punk songs now. I just love the way you can hear Casablancas' origional voice just under the vocoder

I reckon people will warm up to it eventually once they give it a few listens.

I've gone the other way.
Liked it on first listen but the gimmick wears thin very quickly.
Can't imagine this being on many peoples play-list for too long.

The critics have loved it but the Daft Punk fans seem quite polarized and not just because of the change of direction.

One that needs repeat listens to really understand and start to get everything out of it. I like it. Not sure ill love it but you never know.

Already gone through a couple of phases with this album, really enjoyed playing it through. Obviously the hype set people up for either massive appreciation or disappointment.

Started out really enjoying the funky ones, Lose Yourself to Dance, Give Life Back to Music and Get Lucky (although by the time the album came out I was pretty much over the latter).

And now I'm really into Instant Crush (digging Casablancas' tuned vocals), Doin it Right and Beyond. Plus the piano in Within is really great and I felt some emotion conveyed in the track.

Solid album, not groundbreaking but definitely one of the best so far this year
