Want to thank Tapping. I loved watching the VFL boys and he really spoke well. He wanted to stay at Collingwood but they wouldn't give him a job promotion.

I can confirm I heard the rumour of a team courting him 3 weeks ago.

Don't know which team it was.

They offered him a line coach position.

As far as I know......but the person who told me also said Karnezis would walk away from footy.

Hopefully they get this one wrong as I really rate him.

Tapping's LinkedIn still lists him presently as our VFL coach. So not official yet.

I would hate to see him leave. Would be first cab off the rank to become a line coach or senior assistant if one of coaching panel leaves IMO.

Bad news if true, we've lost someone who can coach a team and kept several who have never even coached little league in their lives.

Best of luck to him if he's leaving, been great for the VFL Magpies.

Yep. Nathan has previously said he'd try to make room for him. Well, if the rumour is true that Tapps has been head-hunted, then there is now a vacant position.

For what it's worth, Sanderson is currently the head coach of the AFL Academy.
