Lol Collingwood supporters don't deny he wasn't a fan favourite. Of course you wanted him to stay.

Loved the way he played Footy, attacked the ball and took games apart

Definitely one of my favourites

The second he decided he didn't want to be at Collingwood, I moved on. I don't want a bloke that doesn't want to be at Collingwood. Simple as that. If the black and white isn't enough, then good luck elsewhere, I could care less

Heath hurts, he's the one I personally wish didn't have to move on. He had to go, but he sure as **** didn't want to

Can't wait until we play GWS, to hear the reception Heath gets... it'll be huge, and it'll all be cheers

Gets funnier every time

Eddie wanted to go home, he wanted a lot more than what we are paying Thomas, so we let him go

Pretty simple decision

Win win again

Why is everyone getting so upset?

Eddie was not asking as much as you are paying Thomas. That is fact. You lost your best forward for a bloke who's body may not be able to stand up to AFL footy anymore.

What's sad is the Blue supporters can hang it on Rowe Lucas etc but not a word about Daisy

You guys still think you beat Collingwood we won by freeing up $750k getting pick 6 and getting a shit bloke out of the black and white

Big difference between sooking and gloating we are all very very happy
Did you guys really get compensation for Daisy (pick 6)??? WTF, your entire club should go out and but a lotto ticket.

Daisy looks done and dusted. I feel a bit sorry for him, like I feel sorry for Shane Savage. Both left successful sides and will play out their careers with a bunch of hacks.

Carlton are staring over the edge of an abyss.

Daisy is cooked.

This is the best offload since the Hawks shafted Essendank by giving them Williams for a first round draft pick.

At the moment Daisy would not get a game with the Box Hill Hawks (I am being serious)

We got 11 but did a swap with WC, which netted pick 6.

Ohhh so thats what Carlton were cooking..their players! And even Mick is fried.
Makes sense now.

His attempted dive last night sums him up now. Washed up pansy, who obviously wasn't very well liked watching people shake his hands after the game. Only bloke who gave him time of day was Swanny. Luke Ball couldn't even look him in the eye.....

There was a moment in the game last night where Daisy took the ball at pace then ran straight in to Marley Williams. He didn't even try to change direction as he knew full well that one of his feet would have fallen off. BANG. Turnover. We've Mick McGuane'd Carlton again. You beauty.

Just to break it down, Carlton are paying this bloke around $30K per game. Just under $8,000 per quarter, or, $295 per minute. Even after dishing up that tripe last night, I'm tipping he'll still have his hand out for all the money. That's Daisy in a nutshell. I feel all warm in my nethers.

Not sure about that. I expected the same for Gus Monfries, I loved him and still love him now. It was disappointing to hear some of our people boo.

Sorry could you explain what you get from us last season for him coming over?
My understanding is when you gain something from someone without giving them anything in return, you got it for free.
Daisy = Free :thumbsu: One of the better middle tier players in the comp, cant knock the price on that
Picked a game winner from our perspective and got him for free, cant complain about that...

...Amazing that kind of guts and attitude can get gotten for free
I don't like the compensation angle of free agency. There's too many vagueries. Like how we got pick 11 for Daisy - upgraded to Scharenberg and White (via picks trade with WC and Sydney), whilst you got zero for Eddie Betts - courtesy of bringing in your own FA (Daisy).

Presumably the loss of Eddie Betts would otherwise have scored you a first rounder, given the contract Adelaide offered.

Seems unfair.

Its funny how Carlton fans defend daisy by saying he cost them nothing cause they got him via free agency. So their #1 goal kicker for a few years is worth nothing to them.....ok carlton supporters. ...ok.

In fairness, I think Eddie was going - Daisy or not. But in getting Daisy, Carlton cost itself the (likely) first round compo pick for Betts. And that could have been a player like Dunstan, Acres, Impey or Taylor. In our case it was Scharenberg - who if we can get fit, will be a gun.

As I say, one of the vagueries of FA. If you lose a player you want to trade in, if you get a FA, you should try not to lose one in the same year. A good list manager could have some influence on this to optimise draft picks.

This is one of the softest attempts I have ever seen on a football field. I love how terribly he timed this dive - started falling before Pendles even touched him. Must make you Carltank fans cringe, hey?

It's amazing how good a player can look when playing with a group of elite midfielders. I knew moving to a bottom four side would expose him as a gutless, soft as butter front runner but I didn't think it would be as soon as seven rounds into the season. It's truly beautiful. :)

Good luck with what?

You must be a Carlscum board member you are so stupid!!!

Carlcheat forfeited the first round pick they would have gotten for Betts by picking up Daisy, so he cost you a first round draft pick and $750k, which is $100k more that what Betts was asking (you see 6 is a smaller number than 7).

So Thomas cost you a first round draft pick and screwed you salary cap. Good work Blues!!!

Collingwood lost a player who's body was cooked, snagged a first round draft pick, freed up a ton of cash and used half of it to pick up Jesse White. Don't kid yourself, no one at Collingwood is upset with what happened
