Ok, so the Mavs had AL Jefferson on the table. He could have been had for Dampier. We dawdle and ahm and ahh. He would have been our best ever post-scorer. Yes he would have come off the bench, but would have got 30-32 mins in a big man rotation of Dirk and Haywood. The Dirk-jeff doesnt work on D, but you take the risk.

Instead, we use the Dampier chip on a constantly injured center who has had one all star season in a 9 year career and has doen **** all when not playing with Chris Paul. This is after signing another defensive center for 55m/6yrs a few days prior.

Poor off-season for Dallas.
