Corkies are nothing to be worried about aren't they?
They hurt like **** at the time and might linger for 4 or 5 days if they are bad but it's basically just an internal bruise (from my limited knowledge) so nothing to worry about
 
It's when he doesn't train for a couple of weeks and the club is dead silent that you start to worry.
They can bleed for a couple of weeks though, but no player should miss more than 2-3 weeks at worst. The bigger the thigh, the potentially bigger the cork. MOST are back within a week.
 
Corkies have the potential to turn into compartment syndrome. That can be pretty bad. I can't recall an AFL player having that happening, though.
