Yeah but West Coasts list could be a 5 or 6 again next year quite easily again.

Collingwood, Richmond, Gws get everyone together early. Perhaps Brisbane improve

Willie Rioli gone for a while. Nic Natanui could be cooked. Hurns 32, Kennedy is 32 even shuey is 29.

Even if Tim Kelly heads to the coast your no sure thing for anymore grand finals in the near future. Fantastic last year but didn't follow it up and coughed up top 4 at home losing to hawthorn.

Then got busted out by a side that had won 4-13 or something around that metric of finals since 2011.

I like west coast as an organisation and club but I don't think your chances are any better than 4-5 other clubs with the way your list postures up. I am not including geelong in that convo either

I agree with most of those things. We are in with a shot, but no more than other clubs like Richmond, Brisbane, GWS, Collingwood.

I agree with you, I don't think Geelong will be in contention next year either.

Nothing to fear in losing him unless we cave for some reason and trade him like a bunch of cucks.

He ruled out Freo last year lol. His career moves and our clubs interests are 2 completely different things. And any player should be greatful to get a game anywhere until they've become a free agent.

Going to be sickening with WCE campaigners gloating all next year about getting Kelly for unders

Going to be a s**t year next year

I can see west coast going again and winning. Silky skilled team that’s well drilled. Will add TK. Probably other exciting talent and win it again. Like rich just have by adding Lynch.

I've been waiting all year to go on their board to read all the melts about us refusing to entertain a trade. All year they've been talking about him like he's some free agent they didn't overlook for 5 years.

4 Premierships in 30 years is history and prestige.

I'm not here to upset anyone, so if you'd rather I leave, just let me know.

The arrogance comes from starting with nothing. We weren't given any benefits like GWS/GCS and in fact, the VFL clubs did everything to make life as hard as possible for WC. Despite all of that, we have done very well to establish ourselves in the early years and now rank right up there with any Vic club, far surpassing any other expansion team. Being the first and most successful expansion club is a point of pride for us.

These are important elements of what makes me proud of my club and proud to be a coaster.

What nothing? You got a state side.

I feel Scott is just saying the right things to make sure his worth is understated.

I'd almost be disappointed now if he stayed and we didn't get the picks.

I think it is going to set the club up better going forward.

Depends what you call contention, if we are going the loose version west coast are in a similar boat so not in contention either

Looks pretty clear cut to me. Top 5 finish in Brownlow. That’s as good as Neale or Sheil, so two first round picks, one high single figures.

From what I see is West Coast have a weak hand, and will need pay a fair price for TK. They have no chance of getting him any other way. The draft is not an option for either TK or eagles.

Most likely going to Freo or staying a cat IMO.

He’s shown that he is a class act, the team who has him is better than having 2 first rounders, as he is a known bone fide jet.

A Kelly in the hand is always better than 2 pigs in a poke.

You should want to keep Kelly. If TK requests a trade, Geelong will be in a worse position without TK in their team. This is true whether it is WC or Freo that he nominates (although Freo could give more).

If it is Freo...

They will have 6 (Saints), 7, 22 (Melb for Langdon).

We'd first ask for 6 + 7 with a R2 going back. But would probably settle on 6 + 22 straight.

End up with 6, 17, 22, 33 or so to take to the draft.

Dreaming, wont happen but would happily trade Duncan and 33 for 6 or 7.

Well Tim would be happy WCE culture has changed a bit... instead of meth it’s weed

A bit of a step up and should impress TK
How many other clubs do you think have the same underlying issues?

Sorry but I doubt WCE is the only club with issues around drugs nor that Geelong is a totally clean club - no matter what we may hope
