The Caddy trade wasn't one sided at the time Geelong wanted salary Cap to make some moves.

And were willing to let him go I don't think they predicted how well Caddy would play forward in Richmond premiership year. But Parfitt is at Geelong now so in the long term will be probably not a bad trade
If we had salary cap issues why were we trying to use him to trade for deledio?

Grundy best on ground. It's so short I'm not even sure it's a bow.
Not against GWS, he was dampened by the weather, despite dominating hitouts. The same weather we were promised for the Pies game. The reason the MC , including CS, decided to lighten up the list. It was either Taylor or Stanley who were to miss that game, based on the BOM. Yes, they got that wrong, but just let it go. They made up for it against WCE.
We were never going to beat Richmond thIs September, Hawk or no Hawk, and it would be worse losing a GF. I also doubt we would beat GWS last week. You carry on as if that was a certainty. No basis at all for that.

Kelly and manager had a meeting with the club Thursday.. I know the offer from us is large, more than either Perth club.

This one I am not having fun with....like the house thing
The question naturally is was he listening to an offer or informing the club of a decision to go.... Club still have a strong belief he will stay

Reckon we'll get an answer next week? Just hope it doesn't drag on whichever way it goes.

We don't really believe that he will, as we believe that Geelong will accept a deal before it comes to that. WC fans tend to believe that GFC bargaining power and position in the trade is worse this year than last year. I tend to agree with that summation.

Geelong could hold out last year with the idea of using the extra year on his contract to find a solution to the reasons TK requested the trade last year. A premiership this year probably would have been one of those things as it would have bonded him to the players and the club as a premiership player.

The main issue that GFC needed to work on in the interim 12 months was find ways to provide support for TK's family situation. While I have no doubt GFC have done absolutely everything in their power to support the family, it doesn't appear to have solved the issue. If it had, TK would have signed the Geelong deal that has been on the table since June.

Why don't you piss off?

Knick off back to your own board to talk about it or go to the draft and trading forum.

Wouldn’t bother engaging with him he will just crap on about how powerful and successful WCE is and how bad we are in supporting Kelly ect

Just another dickhead

You'd think we would know one way or the other wouldn't you.
If he is staying it'll come out before the B&F, leaving after IMO

Maybe but that should not stop you from wanting to be there ever.

Very 1980 ...we finish on top get bundled out without making a GF... and Tigers thrash an opponent in the GF..

After 94 and 95, I vowed to be interested in getting to the GF only if were truly a realistic chance of winning. That's me going, not the team playing
07, 08, 09, 11 were all realistic.
This year wasn't.

Surely at some stage this season you had hope we would not only make a GF but win it.

Been reading the thread all week - and noted Chris Scotts comments - that he cant see a trade being done

Im not up to date on all the trade rules - so what happens if Geel and Eagles ( like Scott says ) cant agree on a trade - and say Kelly rules out Freo again

So if that is the situation - Kelly could go to the draft ( but i dont think he would shaft Geel like that ) so Kelly might do what he did last year - begrudgingly stay another year with the Cats

If you want that level of quality , that level of chance..you may never think we will win one ever again. Im not sure we could have beaten Rich..im confident we would have done better than GWS.. realistic chance.. is a very arbitrary term.

Why let the QF selection go when it cost us a flag?

We were always going to get beaten by Richmond, just depends on which week. They are clearly a rung above all teams this year.No insult in admitting that.

Our goal kicking that match was a bigger let down. The final score that match was 7.9 51 def by 9.7 61 - so same number of scoring shots but we didn't convert

Look at the score at quarter time:
1.2 8 vs 4.2 26
During that quarter we had chances to kick 3 or 4 goals - Rohan with a relatively easy set shot for forward but he missed out of the full.
Hawkins had a shot he would snap on the left 99 out of 100 times, but decided on a drop punt this time and he missed. Then on Hawkins next set shot, Howe got a hand on it before it crossed the line when we failed to have anyone put a body on him or stand on the goal line

We convert those 3 chances and suddenly it's close to 4.0 24 vs 4.2 26 at quarter time

And when you consider we kept Collingwood scoreless in the last quarter, our goal kicking had a bigger impact on the match

One thing is certain. Wells is licking his lips at the potential for early drafts picks if Kelly decides to move on.

If we can use these picks as well as we did with the picks we got for Ablett. We will come out in front.

In wells we trust.
